I have stayed here several times. The staff has always gone above to provide great service. Also great omelets in the morning with the buffet. The building is older but is well maintained and very clean. The location is perfect for me, just outside the downtown business and just across street from metro, with several sidewalk cafes within walking distance. Overall good place at a good value.

The WiFi is unnecessarily complicated and my wife could never get it to work. The phone in our bedroom didn't work--I could connect to the desk, but they couldn't here me. The decor of the sitting room is very drab.

Room was clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was quite good. Staff were very friendly. The room was appropriately priced.

As others have said, the pool is shared by a swim lesson company, but we were still able to swim without issue. The decor is also somewhat dated with a few things broken, but we still found it to be pretty clean. The main issue I had was that key cards were not needed to access room levels, so anyone from the street could pretty much access any of the room levels, causing us to feel somewhat unsafe.

I was a little wary about this hotel based on some of the reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised with most everything. The location is great - the metro is accessed without going outside, and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, with some even in the same building as the hotel. The staff were helpful, even letting us check in a little early, and the breakfast was pretty good as well.

The pool is also used for swim lessons which greatly interfere with the guest’s ability to use it, particularly on a holiday weekend like Labor Day, when guests should have priority.

Location, breakfast, room size and staff are friendly and helpful.

How far it was from all of the attractions DC has to offer. I learned how to work the train station but it was really expensive, so I ended up using Uber to get around for convenience.

Such a big beautiful and grand hotel. The breakfast was amazing and made to order. It was very quite the weekend I went and the Cheesecake Factory was closed so not a lot to do after hours.

See above on breakfast. The happy hour snacks were really minimal, some pretzels and chips. Again, it felt stingy and perfunctory.

Breakfast was ok, and the omelettes to order were nice. But breakfast was missing some things that Europeans like-cheeses, cold cuts and a variety of breads and rolls of good quality. Only plain low-end bagels, low-end doughnuts, low-end packaged muffin, plain rolls and sliced white bread were offered in the bread category. No croissants or French bread. You need to source better baked goods. Also, there was no mustard or ketchup or similar condiments for the sausages(which some people like) or fruit salad. Fresh fruits offered were only bananas and apples (some days) and oranges(other days). No fresh berries, only dried berries. It all felt totally middle American and a bit stingy. For the prices charged, at a hotel in a world capital, you should try harder and provide better quality, more real baked goods and more variety.

I really don’t have any complaints or dislikes about my stay at this facility. It happens to be one of our best experiences post COVID.

The property was very clean. The overall appearance was very inviting. Our room was serviced well everyday. The room furniture showed very minimal wear and tear. The bed was very comfortable we slept well. The staff was pleasant very hospitable smiling and informative. We had our 54th family reunion in one of the meeting rooms. The environment was comfortable, nice. The food was excellent my hat off to the chef. The staff that served was excellent.

The cocktail reception was poorly run . Waiting over 30 minutes to be served was unacceptable. Management should be involved, but was no where in sight. The internet connection speed was also terrible. How can a hotel with over 150 rooms and guests offer “ free wi-fi “ with speeds less then 10 mbs. Very disturbing.

    Very clean and convenient location.

The desk staff needs to be re-trained. Some need to understand that this is sometimes our first trip and every interaction is a lasting one. You can not pick and choose who you want to be nice to. Everyone needs to be treated the same.

We arrived early but Noreen the desk staff made us feel uncomfortable. She basically said room not ready and made us feel like we should get out her face. She didn't offer anything no suggestion. I had to ask if we could leave our bags. When we left I was waiting to check out and noreen took the white guy who came 5 mins after us. She made me feel black and uncomfortable. Corporate made a visit on my last day in willie restaurant. I wish I would have complaint to them. SHE NEEDS RETRAINING OR A DIFFERENT POSITION. The hotel is a good place. It holds all the amenities and the breakfast is good. You can also go into the hotel directly from the train station. The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning staff is great. It was hard to find food places in the area.

The staff were kind of confusing because I used a third party. My reservation went not complete, and they said it was because of the 3rd party. Narina at the front desk was kind of mean. The hide away bed was in bad condition. A screw was missing, and it was hard to let up. There is a bad smell coming out of the bathroom sink, and water was leaking from the faucet knobs.

The breakfast and the location were good. Getting in and out of the hotel room was good.

Not enough towels or cups in the room. Front desk closed at 11;00 so we could not ask questions of get supplies until the am. We checked in later that evening so extended hours maybe ti1 1:00 would be better. Finding out way to the location on check-in was a bit of a challenge. Maybe some signage in the pavilion?

Nice room. Excellent, excellent breakfast and I liked that checkout was later and breakfast went later.

The only thing I really didn't like is that free parking was not included in the price of the room. And since parking was not included, it seemed to me, the hotel should validate parking without charging extra. Other than that, the Chevy Chase Pavilion has been negatively affected by the COVID pandemic and it shows by the vacancies in the pavilion. Additionally, it is quite apparent the hotel has put in place cost cutting measures, which is quite understandable if you know how business works. But this may start to affect the hotel's bottom line sooner rather than later if the room prices and the out of date decor get too far apart. The hotel ahow also consider doing away with the many flower boxes all together rather than having flower boxes with only dirt. I was also surprised at how much the price increased for those booking later than I. Book early.

This hotel is located in a great area with shops and restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed the cooked to order hot breakfasts in the morning and the manager's receptions in the evenings. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful and pleasant while the dining room staff was extremely efficient for the number of visitors daily. The bartender, Tatiana, was a wiz of a mixologist. Another huge plus doe this location is the ability to access the Metrorail system from within the building. There is also an actually heated pool, a hot tub, and an extensive workout area.
