Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Having to pay for parking was ridiculous. It should be complimentary for guests, especially since we are paying over $300 per night. $35 for parking is literally outrageous.
Location and breakfast were good. Not great. Too noisy during the breakfast hours. Selection was adequate. Nothing like european hotels...

The bathroom wasn’t what I expected, and the lights were deemed.
One thing I probably like is the space and the temperature of the room.

The stay was marred by one of our party being injured by dangerously protruding metal bars from the beds in our room. They cut a leg which left a gash and needed to be treated. We told the staff at reception who said they would address the problem. Otherwise a good stay.

loud group of women next to our room who were up well past midnight talking and screaming loud; drama from them on Saturday night and people always knocking on the door It is literally 1:00 and you can hear them whooping it up next door. Last night big commotion in hallway. They are true low class and disrespectful to those around them thinking only of themselves.

My kids loved the swimming pool and the super-easy access to a restaurant (The Cheesecake Factory)- we ordered takeout and enjoyed it in our room- it was really easy to get to the restaurant- we didn't even need to go outside. We took advantage of the complementary breakfast and were very happy with it! The people working were friendly and helpful; they were great especially seeing how busy it was. The room was comfortable and quiet. We were very happy with our stay. We opted to pay for parking and the parking let us have in/out privileges, so we didn't take advantage of the Metro at all this trip, although it would have been really convenient.

The embassy suites was amazing for the breakfast to the complimentary snacks & Drinks location the front desk staff amazing house cleaners fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel.

it’s very unclean our room had brown spots all over the bed and on the curtains, had a very foul and smoky stench and housecleaning left food from the last guest in the fridge 🤮 the shower had some kind of goo sticking to the side of the tub and horrible mold. keep it mind only the lobby looks anything like these pictures.
i loved the staff, they’re amazing and although we didn’t eat the breakfast it looked plenty worth it.

Great room for family vacation! Hot made to order breakfast daily was wonderful! Pool, hot tub and fitness room all were in great shape! Hotel is on the metro line which made travel around to see the sites very handy! This location was in a safe area of town and had lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. CVS is in the same building as well.
