Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had a nice stay. Friendly and supporting staff. The hotel is super central and has everything that is necessary. Its a bit expensive, but everything in NYC is...we received vouchers for 24h free cycling, free welcome drink etc.

We booked a room for 4 and paid for the breakfast included but when we arrived we been told that it was only for 2 people and we had to pay 20 usd by child. We paid 40 usd, but the next morning, we realized that the breakfast was not a buffet but a menu, and it was full. So we decided to eat in another place. We got back the 40 usd that we paid for the kids, but we lost the 40 usd we paid in the reservation. It should be more clear that when we paid for the breakfast, it was only for 2 people and not the 4 of us.
The staff was highly welcoming and helpful. Very clean

The location isn't Times Square proper. The views aren't great and you're basically in a side street by the police station.
The staff is amazing. The room was clean. I really enjoyed all the friendly faces.

The food options are clearly reheated packaged meals and they weren't even very hot, which is fine if you want to go out in NYC, but if you're staying here late because you're trying to catch the train in the morning, plan to pick something up beforehand. The A/C is pretty loud in-unit, but that's been true for every NYC hotel I've stayed in, so I don't really hold it against them.
Extremely comfortable beds, kind staff. Clean.

Breakfast portions could be slightly bigger. But quality was good.
Gym fitness facilities best we have ever used. Healthy breakfast and snack options fantastic. Room was a generous size for NY, comfy bed and some fun LED strip lighting. Good shower. Location very close to subway and Madison Square Garden.

I booked at last minute and perhaps it was a peak time as I paid a very high nightly rate, much higher than the rate offered for the following week.
Very well located close to Penn Street Station and to many tourist activities. Rooms very comfortable and pleasantly arranged for layout, lighting etc and equipped for healthy activities such as yoga. Restaurant offered many healthy choices and catered for various dietary requirements. Only 6 rooms on each floor, and rooms very quiet.

The neighborhood is slightly rough.
The hotel is modern and clean with big rooms and good WiFi. The location is near by the subway, so it’s very nice to get to any part of the city.

Really nice hotel close to Penn Station. Staff was excellent, hotel and room were very clean. Very comfortable room. Highly recommended for staying in lower midtown area.

Good and cheap breakfast option inclusive at the price should have been really good.
Location is superb. Only thing to dislike about the location: its dirty right outside and beside the hotel - garbage dumps piled over. But at just a few seconds walk you are at the subway steps and Mcds, starbucks and many restaurants at the disposal. The rooms were clean and staff was very polite and helpful. We got 2 rooms at different floors but they kindly made extra efforts to change the rooms for our convenience for rest of our stay. With Newyork standards the rooms were spacious. Best of all: PARKING is bang opposite the hotel which was extremely convenient.
