Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaAs a new hotel the staff were not always current on the location of things (ice machines) or how things operated (washer/dryers). The room described in the Bookings advert was not what was delivered upon arrival at the hotel. The room we got was 1/2 the size which was adequate but is misleading.
The location could not have been better as it is literally at the edge of the historic district which is why you are in Deadwood. The room was clean and comfortable. Food services were of high quality down in the casino. Parking was very convenient.

CanadaNot much for dining options in Tin Lizzie's casino on ground floor. Casino kitchen makes the food.for the lounge and while food was decent the selection is limited.
Great location close to downtown within walking distance to great nightlife and a good casino on the ground floor of hotel.

United StatesVery loud hotel. You can hear everything in the room on either side of the room you’re in. Hardwood floors in hotels is a terrible idea.

United StatesRoom was filthy, particularly shower area and bathroom. The living area looked like it hadnt been cleaned except in the walking path. Dust bunnies and crumbs along the walls. The bathroom vent had so much dust, likely gaining mold. For $500/night, i would expext to not see grime in shower or other people's hair in it! Coffee had about 1/2 inch of grounds in the bottom of 1 cup.
Parking and valet were fantastic!

United StatesI was VERY surprised there wasn't anything in the room or at the front desk about the hotel. Was there a pool. A spa. A restaurant. Nothing. Nor was there ANYTHING about Deadwood. Places to see. Points of interest. Restaurants. Places to shop. I had to look online about the city and the hotel. Very disappointing.

United StatesWe got charged a surprise 250 for just reserving the room, and it wasn’t the deposit. That’s 50 bucks. Then I reserved a king suite, and besides a king bed, and a decent shower, there was nothing special about the room. (Even though the listing online said differently.) The fridge was small , so small that you could only fit a couple of drinks. There was no free breakfast, we had to pay for parking and we got a “buy one get one” drink from the bar, only to get charged for it later. The first host (when we got there) was completely unhelpful. Later, a girl hostess was nicer and explained things a little more to me a couple of days later….but you’d have the same experience in a motel and it would be a LOT cheaper.
I liked how clean everything was, and that the tv actually had streaming capabilities.

United KingdomOnly one comfortable chair to sit in despite there being ample room for another. It meant one of us had to sit on the bed while watching TV. Breakfast very limited & no use if you have intolerances. Parking is extortionate at $20 per night!! There's limited space under the hotel, so one of the nights the car was in an open car park about a block away. Total rip off.
A nice big room & comfortable bed, but little furniture.

United StatesSecond floor lobby was confusing..but we made due. Also didn’t like that I was charged multiple times and still have charges that don’t add up.. I got a locked in rate on here and prepaid with breakfast included ..then get to the property and we have to pay for breakfast (which we never had) daily parking fees..at our hotel, then some other random fee for an additional night that we never booked or requested?

United StatesI could hear the conversation from the room next to mine word for word, and my shower head leaked after I took a shower and it was very difficult to sleep with the noise of the driping. There was also not a ton of light in the room.
The room was nice and clean and had a desk so I could do school work.
