We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThey picked us up at the rental car drop off and brought us back to the hotel for the night. Then dropped us off directly at airport with luggage. Saved us a lot of time and we didn’t have to carry multiple bags and golf clubs on and off bus. Great service. We will use again.

United StatesWe got to pay for the stay but didn’t get to actually stay because the hotel had no record of our booking.com reservation. I called booking.com. The rep was able to see our confirmed reservation and called the hotel but the hotel still had no record of our reservation. This was all after several weather delays with our flight so it was already 2a.m. Even tho we had already paid for the room on booking.com we were told we would have to make a new reservation on site and pay the hotel directly. Booking.com said they would cancel our reservation and the refund would be applied in 5-7 business days. The hotel said they could not honor the booking.com price. Their base rate was $20 more than the booking.com price. Not feeling confident about the refund from booking.com we ended up sleeping in our car because we did not feel like we could pay twice for one hotel room. I then got an email stating that our refund would be processed minus hotel fees based on hotel policies. Upon reading further it appears as if we won’t get a refund because it was a nonrefundable reservation. So … I guess I’ll know in a week or so whether or not we really do get refunded for the hotel reservation since it was cancelled by them due to their system communication error. The booking went through on booking.com but not through to the hotel. We had a confirmation number with a PIN number, I showed them the booking.com app that showed our reservation. I also showed proof in my online bank account that the charge had been made. However, this was not good enough to prove we had a reservation. This is a very frustrating situation. Booking reservations through a third party site is no longer something I am going to want to do as this is the 2nd snaffoo I have had with the booking.com app.
The front desk clerk was friendly but unable to make accommodations for us unless we were willing to pay twice for our room.

SwedenThe reception personal whom seemed extreemly anoyd by my need of help with the wifi. Just gave me a supportnumber to call and try to handel it myself. No one ever answered on this supportnumber. This made me take the desission to never com back to this hotell.
