We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

RomaniaThe hotel was clean and within a 7–10 minute walk to the subway station. It took us around 20 minutes to get to central Manhattan, which made getting around very easy. The price–quality ratio was excellent for New York, and overall we were very satisfied with our stay. The only small downside was that some noise from the hallway or nearby rooms could be heard at times. Would definitely recommend.

United StatesThe staff certainly answered my questions, I don't have any real complaints, but I wish they could have turned down the music in the rooftop bar (almost no one else was there). The decor was a little sad, it could use a renovation.
The hotel is well-located for my purposes, so I didn't mind that the neighborhood is a bit grim. It certainly seemed safe. The breakfast was good and well-priced, and the room was a good size and on a high floor.

United StatesThe outlets in the room were a little loose. We had to share one charger during our stay because the other outlets wouldn't work for larger chargers.
This hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train, the front desk staff were mostly helpful and friendly (with the exception of one minor incident), check-in was smooth, and the room was decently modern.

GermanyIn general still to expensive for what you get. Pretty noisy in the floors, loud doors, walls are pretty thin (you can hear everything from neighbor rooms). Sometimes only one elevator was working (from 2), so you had to wait some minutes. Sometimes not enough towels were given after cleaning.
Good located in queens, several options for subways to Manhattan (up to 10 minutes walking). For NYC good cost/benefit ratio.
