Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsOut dated, not as clean as expected, uncomfortable bed, the lighting in the hallway, it’s too bright, not warm welcoming, the breakfast is okay, expected more from it.
The staff on the day of the check-in were really nice, they were trying their best to get us on the same floor

BrazilDated hotel, poor furniture, bad shower, the room curtains did not close enough to block the Bus Terminal lights in front of the room. The hotel price range Is not worthy at all, even considering how high the hotels prices are in Manhattan now a days.
It remind me of a Sheraton. The cookie and lemonade served as a courtesy were great. The bed was ok.

SwitzerlandAfter booking the room 4 months in advance, we were assigned a room adapted for handicapped people, with an adapted bathroom that did not have a proper closing door. The excuse was that the hotel was fully booked. The hotel claimed that when booking through a third party (Booking.com in this case) they can change the room type as long as it fits the number of guests. There was no manager at any time at the front desk to speak to. In the end, we were offered a partial refund on our reservation, but the damage was already done. Inexperienced and badly trained front desk staff. Far from what one expects from a 4-star hotel.
Very good location. In the middle of Manhattan. Walking distance from Times Square and the main attractions of the city. Comfortable bed.

United StatesThe front desk staff was rude and very unhelpful. They are super short with their responses, slight attitude, and seem very unwilling to guide guests when it comes to tips for getting around the city. The room are super small, which was expected, but the whole hotel is small. The beds and pillows are so uncomfortable. The shower door was broken, and all the water spills out; wasted more towels cleaning the water outside of the shower then what we actually used.
The only bright side of this hotel was that the clean staff was nice , and the location was perfect if you plan to use the subway.

CanadaThe location was a bit sketchy. But it was really close to a Subway station and we never felt unsafe.
Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a cold dispenser of lemonade or water in the lobby which was a welcome sight after a long day of walking all over Manhattan in the hot sunny weather. Our room had a fantastic view of the skyline of Manhattan (paid for a room with a view). We could see the Empire State Building from our window and it looked even better at night. The room was clean, the beds were really comfortable. The mini fridge was a bonus and the coffee machine was great. It was an easy walk to Times Square and many restaurants. The Subway was really close.

CanadaThe property was incredible
Nicole and the staff were so very welcoming and helpful. They treated my daughter and I as if they had known us forever. It was clean and wonderful warm atmosphere and smelled amazing. The room was clean and comfy and had a city view which we loved. Also love the security feature that you need your room key to access the floors in the elevator. Amazing all around!

United StatesThe entire place reeked with marijuana and tobacco. The building is old and worn out. This was my granddaughters high school graduation trip and I thought I had booked a Marriott Bonvoy hotel but this was a joke. Very disappointed.
