Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only downside to this hotel is the rooftop bar. There was security and a full crowd overfilling the lobby area every night to get up to the bar. I had to cut my way through people several times (with my dog) just to get back to my room. I'm sure the bar itself is very nice, but I wish the hotel was better catered to the guests who are actually paying to stay there, rather than to the bar crowd.
The hotel itself, eateries, room and staff were fantastic! Everyone was super welcoming to our pup that traveled with us. It was a bit of a walk to the main sites, but we knew that when booking and were fine with that.

United StatesI enjoyed everything except for a particular bartender at Michelle's who was very unenthused. He was very uninviting even when asking about drinks. He seemed "over it" and it was only maybe 6pm. When I did not enjoy my oysters he did not offer anything different - just said "sorry you don't like them..." He's the reason I did not want to come back to the restaurant.
It's beautiful and intriguing and makes you want to explore. Also the Muslim gentleman who helped me with my things was an absolute pleasure. Very helpful, kind and respectful - thank you!

United StatesThe height and size of the rooms.
Loved the hospitality of the staff and everyone who helped us. I loved the location of the hotel but I didn't love the size of the rooms, it was a bit short and tight for my wife and I who are both tall--me being 6'3 and my wife being 5'11.

United StatesRooms could be a little larger.
No breakfasts offered, but a nice bakery is co-located on ground floor. Elevators are the fastest I have ever seen - never had to wait. Hotel is very social justice and environmentally conscious, hence it attracts a very "hip" and progressive crowd, which we love. The rooftop bar is a great space - alive, friendly, where the action is. The staff are the friendliest around. Location is perfect for DC.

United StatesWater pressure at sink a little too high.
Great location for where I needed to be. Comfortable bed, nicely decorated room, clean/modern bathroom. Especially liked the table and small loveseat combo. A good place to work. Plenty of storage space. Small refrigerator a plus. Good sized TV. Books on shelves and record player a nice touch. Food at bar/restaurant better than expected.

United StatesWe traveled for the inauguration. The hotel's location allows easy access to downtown and Capitol Mall activities. The common lounge (Library room) was a cozy place to hang out. The onsite coffee shop was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and helpful on arrival and at departure.

United StatesParking was unclear as was bringing up our luggage. Was fine once figured out. No complimentary breakfast. If you don’t like barking dogs keep in mind you may hear some as they are pet friendly, but it didn’t bother me.
Excellent location and great room. Within walking distance of most of downtown D.C. and a six minute walk from two metro stations. The window opened and that was a plus. Relaxed lighting was nice.

Excellent location. They upgraded our rooms so we can have a connecting room with my son. Rooms are very quiet and beds are confortable. Lots of room to store our luggage and clothes. The restaurant is excellent. I liked the feel of the hotel and its political exhibits.

United StatesBreakfast and food service was barely any good
We had a wonderful stay! The rooms were not only very comfortable, but also had a unique touch with lovely vinyl records and a player, which made the atmosphere even more special. Celia, our hostess, was incredibly warm and welcoming, ensuring we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Her hospitality truly made the experience memorable. We appreciate all the thoughtful details and can’t thank her enough for making our visit so enjoyable. Highly recommend!
