Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe rooms were a bit too small for me. Bathroom was cramped and with all the furniture and king size bed it was a very tight space.
Alexis at the front desk was absolutely fantastic during my stay. In addition, the gentlemen at the front were always super friendly and helpful. I loved Allegory, Michele's, and the Baker's Daughter. The vibe in the hotel is friendly, hip, chic, and sexy. Excellent customer service experience from the staff!

United KingdomShampoo bottle was empty and was not refilled 3 nights in a row despite placing the bottle inside the sink to clearly show its emptiness! Italian shower head was old and would deserve to be replaced.
Excellent location, close to many restaurants / cafes and Washington main monuments and museums. Bed was extra large and very comfortable. Hotel has roof top and speak easy bars. No breakfast offered but many cafe (more or less good) next door.

IrelandNo tea/coffee facilities in bedroom. Cafe downstairs was really expensive ($12 for a basic packaged sandwich) and lacks good healthy options like cereal, porridge, yoghurt & fruit etc. Room was quite expensive, but I think DC isn't cheap in general. Fridge doesn't get that cold - couldn't really cool drinks in it. Not great for kids - no bath, no swimming pool unfortunately, breakfast is limited.
Bed was really comfortable. Good shower. WiFi (free) was fast. Room was extremely clean and air con was very good. Few minutes walk to the nearest metro station and the convention centre.

Germanyrooms under the rooftop bar were not sound proof. needed to move in the middle of the night. after a transatlantic flight, the staff should be a. it more careful about the room assignment. The decor is not really fancy (not working record player, empty record cases, a bathtub as a shower, very dark).

United StatesGiven the relatively high cost, I would have liked to have had a few more ameneties/perks (i.e., available parking, coffee in the room, premium linens, movie channels/cable tv, etc).
Great vibes, good location, friendly and accomodative staff.

NetherlandsNothing. I travel A LOT. It has been a long time since my expectations have been exceeded. The Eaton did.
Location was great; near metro. Near downtown. I liked the staff; very friendly. I liked the lobby music--funky. I liked the decor--warm and unique--not at all like a hotel. I liked the rooms. First time I have played a record in 30 years. I liked the breakfast restaurant and the restaurant. I liked the price. Amazing value for all I have described.

The location is great, the service was done professionally, check-in was fast, and the suite is nice and had a view. It's clean and beautiful, with natural wood, and a vinyl player. High-quality materials and bathroom things such as shampoo and soap. Breakfast options around, Baker's daughter or Paul.
