Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBreakfast was good, however, the service was extremely slow. There was only one server for all of the tables. There was no complimentary self-serve coffee. You had to wait for the server to bring you a cup. There was no coffee pot in our room.
Beautiful hotel. Decor was gorgeous! Period paintings, furniture, drapes, etc were all perfect! The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Our room wasn’t huge but it was good size. The bed was so comfortable. It was very clean.

CanadaOne of the travellers is allergic to airfreshener and didn’t expect to walk in and have one in the room. She verged on an asthma attack so we removed it from the room and aired out the room to make it inhabitable for her.
Historic feel, location, breakfast.

United KingdomThe breakfast included is a separate menu to the off the street menu which was a bit odd and an annoying to be honest. I’m guessing the restaurant is separately run. It would be better to either just have the same menu or provide guests with a monetary voucher towards just one menu.
Check in was great and we just made it in time for dinner- last orders were 8pm. The restaurant was a bit disorganised but in a fun way. My Bloody Mary was half and half I reckon which was a cool start to the evening. Some of the items on the menu were unavailable but I had the Shrimps and rice which were excellent. My partner had falafels which were nicely cooked. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. The room was a bit chill but there was an electric heater in the cupboard.

United StatesA bit more maintenance on the furniture would be good. Maybe some curtains that we could close in the evenings.
Location was wonderful for walking, we would definitely stay there again. The breakfasts were great, though the evening meals were mediocre. The house is beautiful, with lots of squeaky floors and furniture, as befits its age. The parking lot was great also, lots of space.

United StatesA mini fridge in the room would have been a nice touch
The Guest House is a beautiful and historic inn dating back to 1840 in downtown Natchez conveniently located to many attractions. Very walkable to restaurants, the Mississippi River and many of the historic mansions. While our room was very close to the main entrance by the restaurant, it was quiet. Beds were comfortable and our stay included a free hot breakfast in the restaurant and a complimentary bottle of wine upon our arrival. Our stay at The Guest House was a great experience at a great price .

GermanyThe restaurant was somewhat cold but one could wear an extra sweater. It seemed likely that in the spring it was connected to the patio and the glass wall was probably not able to keep out the cold. One had to find the right table that was near a heat source to be comfortable.
The hotel is just as described. It is lovely and the furnishings seemed like a fair tribute to times past. Though it was very cold the room was cozy and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was excellent as there are so many things one can do by foot. We were there in the winter so we could not enjoy the patio but one can only imagine how pleasant it would be in the spring. The breakfast was nice as it offered many items which were made fresh (scrambled eggs and pancakes, for example) and offered some typically Southern items (grits, sausage). If we return we could want to stay here again. The restaurant was also quite nice with a menu that had a Mediterranean flair.

United StatesIt wasn’t spotlessly clean, although it was pretty clean. There were cobwebs on some of the light fixtures. Also our room could have used a few more lamps- it was pretty dark. Fine usually but a challenge to get ready to go out at night. It would have been nice to have a robe and maybe nicer soap and shampoo (we had dollar store bottles in our room) but no big deal. Also the armoire key was missing and I had to use a hair pin to get it open which was the only place to store our clothes.
The property was lovely and a little spooky and charming. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind and made it feel like we were at home. It was really convenient to everything and we were able to walk to just about everything we wanted to explore in Natchez.
