Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI didn't realise that Downtown L.A. is sketchy. It's not a reflection on this accommodation, just the area is not so good.

New ZealandThere was tonnes of street noise, which is to be expected in DTLA. It didn't bother us, we are deep sleepers and the children liked all the sirens and hustle and bustle of city life.
So spacious and affordable! Perfectly located for our needs. Loved having so much space for a traveling party of 4. The most comfortable beds I slept in the whole time I was in America. I was tempted to lift the sheets to figure out who the manufacturer was!

AustraliaThe hotel took a holding fee of $150 usd on my credit card. At some point during my stay there was an addition charge deducted from my credit card for the whole total of the booking despite the booking being prepaid. This was refunded one week after checking out. I wasn’t informed this would happen and impacted my travels in the next week from a financial perspective.
In the urban area of downtown with a short walk from many attractions, night life and great food. The room was extremely large with all amenities you could ever need. Private and surprisingly quiet. Very pleasant stay.

United StatesSince the property is located in Historic Downtown L.A., and the buildings were built in 1915, there are parking lots in the same building. But, there is one right across where you will need to roll/carry your luggages. There are no stores open past 9pm but at every corner, are plenty of taco trucks.
Spacious, full kitchen, clean and wonderful staff.

AustraliaRooms had no insulation from outside sounds and curtains barely blocked out light. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and the only bathroom was connected to one of the bedrooms which was awkward everytime someone wanted a shower because those people had to leave their room. Also the shower actually felt like knives.

United StatesAir conditioner did not work fully, beds need more blankets, and needs to be brighter.
So cozy!! We were scared because of certain hotel reviews we have seen, but it was not uncomfortable in the slightest. In fact, the beds were clean, no bedbugs like the reviews reported in the past, it was spacious, cozy, comfortable. The phone and air conditioning did not work fully and lights could be a bit brighter but other than that it was great! Security massage it safer as well.

AustraliaThe flooring could do with some mats or carpets placed down in the bedroom and perhaps living room. The laundry could do with a washing powder dispenser.
Location was great for getting to the Metro (either to Pershing Square or 7th Avenue) and great coffee in the mornings just around the corner at Tierra Mia Coffee. Staff were very friendly always - always had a bit of a chat either leaving in the mornings or coming back in the evenings. Also, it was great having a laundry in the basement with washers and dryers.

United StatesThe walls that didn't go all the way up to the ceiling which made for less privacy between guests but not a deal breaker. I wish there was free parking and a pool on site but I understand the limitations. It would have been very helpful if they attached pictures to each room type listing on booking.com instead of the general hotel listing. That way guests know what to expect.
I really enjoy the spaciousness of the rooms. The beds were very comfortable as well. The design of the space made me feel at home.

NetherlandsThis location is close to many of the nice places downtown, but the streets around this specific location downtown was full of homeless people, which didn't make it a nice place to go around at night. The apartment itself was quite minimal on kitchen amenities. No water cooker, few pans. Not really made for home cooking, even though the full kitchen is present.
The apartment is very spacious and I was able to book it really last minute, after failing to stay at another booking I made. Booking was so kind to compensate me for rescheduling to another property.
