Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe parking is not clearly stated. Paid $29 in the registration and then was charged another $18 at the ciosque. When I told the hotel they said I needed to call the company that ran the parking lot. There was no number to call and women at the desk said she would take care of it. Needed to be more transparent on fees.
Convenient and good value.

AustraliaThe room was not what we booked. It was supposed to be a Premium Room. It was missing a curtain, paint peeling off doors, bad patching on walls, mattresses kept sliding off bases, not enough cups for 4 people, sheets were stained and when we asked for replacements they never came, staff were uninterested, staff did not know simple things about the property (IE how much washing/drying cost and over inflated cost), rooms were not sound proof - we could hear the poor dog barking in the room next door, when it was left alone, normally around 5am, the people the other side talked incredibly loud and watched TV on a high volume all night, children screaming a few doors down.

United KingdomDaily parking fee was unexpected. All California hotels we stayed in charged for parking, $25 per day and part of day. The inability of being able to walk anywhere because of the major roads, but the excellence of the hotel overcame the lack of perambulation.
The room was excellent with plenty of cupboard space. (Got the clothes out of the suitcase for the first time.) The lighting was also excellent with a central light. The pool and hot tub (both used) were excellent and the pool bar served very good meals. Overall the best hotel of our trip. Location on hotel strip which is good for getting out of town and to certain amenities, e.g. Zoo, Sea World, petrol station, dinning out. Not a place for walking as located on major roads, but taxis available and not too costly.

South AfricaThe bathroom tub got blocked twice, even after we asked maintenance to take a look at it. The room was not soundproof at all. There were people in the hallway all hours of the day making noise, which made it really hard to get a good night's rest. Our room was right next to housekeeping's office/supply closet, and when the door opens, it makes noise that could be heard all the way to room since very early in the morning. In general, the pictures on the website make the hotel look modern, but it is old.
The pillows on the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly.

United KingdomThe third day I had left the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door in the morning due to a work meeting. My partner and I had left the room approximately around midday (with the ‘do not disturb’ sign now taken off’ to visit the city with the hope that our room would be visited by housekeeping the time we got back in late evening. Unfortunately, the time we arrived back the room was how we left it. This wasn’t that much of an issue, just slightly disappointed. Later that evening we had got to sleep relatively earlier due to my partner being under the weather and the fact we had a flight to catch the next day as well as a work call at 07:00. The last two nights had been pleasant due to our ‘neighbours’ being respectfully quiet in late hours of the day. Unfortunately, the third night just before 23:30 we were woken by our new ‘neighbours’ who had decided to have some sort of party. We had phoned the front desk to report a noise complaint and they had said they would send security to come and address the issue. Disappointingly, the issue had continued and at around 00:00 we had to phone again to mention that they had ignored the request to quiet down. The individual who had answered the phone had said she would visit the room and speak to them herself. Again, after she had done that, they had started to play music. So, frustratingly at around 00:30 we had phoned the front desk again, a third time to report this incredibly irritating ongoing issue. However, we were assured by the front desk they would get spoken to again. It got to 01:00 and the music and ‘partying’ was still ongoing. By this point, both my partner and I were discouraged on reporting the issue and decided to try and sleep through it. The next morning, I approached the front desk with the hope of speaking to the manager and was met with hostility from one the two receptionist who had decided to interrupt me whilst explaining the situation to her colleague.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

United StatesThe air condition was poor. 4 rooms next to me and mine had a main line plumbing leak and water was coming up in our shower. The toilet leaked. We had to switch rooms twice and had to hurried out of our room while switching. Our refrigerator didn't work and mildew water was leaking underneath. All my grocery items went bad. They charged me 150.00 for a table end that was already broken. i have complained and they don't want to give me a refund for this table. We stayed about 3 weeks on an extended stay. The front desk staff had one very nice gentleman that was helpful. The other saff wax very rude about the table and should have been more accommodating. I still want my refund for this. It is a principle of we did not break this and they sneakily charged us with our talking to us at checkout first. We were more than great guests on a very long stay and should be treated better than this.
The pool area was nice. The pool restaurant staff was great. The room cleaners were very nice. A couple of the front desk were rude about the room change and table. I won't pay for a room that has sewage water in the shower and bad air conditioning.
