Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

fantastic location, can’t be beat. it was close to Union square, Starbucks nearby, CVS and Walgreens. Easy to take cable cars to fisherman’s wharf and catch BART trains. short walk to Big bus location for Union Square.

We weren't quite satisfied with our first room so we asked to be moved and they were happy to help and moved us to a much nicer room that suited our needs fully! Very satisfied.

Parking was quite expensive, however it was convenient and we knew the car was safe.
The location was very good and the room was really clean and spacious.

Nothing, everything was perfect.
It's close to subway station of Powel which connect to airport is fast and direct. The cleaning was perfect and the staff nice too. Even they let me check early

Parts of the hotel are dated and need an upgrade

Our room was in the Historical Building and was definitely in need of some renovation. not the 27 m2 room we were promised.
Great position to walk around the city, convenient rates and nice pool to relax after visiting the city.

We asked the staff several times for different recommendations on resturants near Pier 33 early in am- the staff was reluctant to give us a straight answer. They werent sure if things were open and didnt try to find out. The check desk was very busy and understaffed at checkin

We loved the concierge and bell boys although front desk staff were less than friendly. The room itself was extremely comfortable, but probably in need of some updates (wallpaper peeling, etc.). The wifi was less than ideal and was slow. The area around the hotel is a bit sketchy if you turn one way, but is better going towards Union Square, but the hotel doesn't really have control over that.
We stayed in a premier queen room. The room was fantastic for our family of four - we were so happy with the size and amount of storage and space. There were even extra hooks provided - those little touches are extremely appreciated when you're travelling with your family and have lots of stuff! The two queen beds were extremely comfortable as well. The location was great. And the pool was a special bonus which the kids loved! We stayed on a higher floor (7) overlooking the street and had no problems with noise level. Most things were walking distance, otherwise public transit was a short walk away. Overall, the location and the rooms (along with the pool!) made this the perfect place to stay for our family.

Laundry facilities would have been good. Had to pay for parking which we knew about. Bathroom a bit tired.
Location was great. Very close to trolley tram and shops. Our room had no view but as a place to sleep it was great. Room was small but large enough for a couple of nights on the run. Car parking was available and convenient being able to park at entrance to unload and load. Discount for breakfast around the corner appreciated.

Check in guy was miserable and didn’t tell us about a breakfast discount at a nearby restaurant that the guests next to us were told by the guy who checked them in. It would have been nice if the toiletries were replaced each day, especially since there were 4 of us staying for 4 nights and we used all the shampoo up by the second night. Air conditioning didn’t work
