Apart from the coffee machine and a couple of sachets of coffee each day there were no other facilities in the hotel. Other hotels in the area with comparable prices have more to offer

Room had a strange musty smell. Room needed a repaint. Tiny double bed in one room. Single beds in the lounge area. Beds needed to be swapped

Staff were lovely. Room upgrade was nice for extra space. Next time would stay in the other wing over the heritage wing. Maintenance issue fixed immediately.

I didn't really have any issues to speak of. It is an old building so it can be a little drafty in the rooms on the historic side and the heating/cooling system is very loud but I like the white noise for sleeping so it didn't really bother me.

I was in town for GDC and the Handlery is located close enough to Moscone Center to be able to walk there and attend the various after parties in the area. The rooms on the historic side are small but with the conference going on I was there to just sleep and shower and that was about it. The staff at the front desk was helpful with packages I had shipped to the hotel.

Great place to stay if you choose to be in Downtown San Francisco. Great facilities, clean rooms, friendly staff and lots to do nearby.

There was a $350 deposit on check in that we hadn't been aware of before arriving, we did get this back a couple of days after check out. It may be mentioned somewhere in the small print but might be good for this to be mentioned in the "important information" section on the page to make it a bit clearer.

Lovely stay, the hotel very kindly upgraded our room as it was our anniversary which was such a nice touch, and gave us some champagne and snacks in the room as well. I swam in the pool twice, it was great that it was heated because it was very chilly in San Francisco! The hotel is very central and there are great transport links to all over the city. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great space to chill out in and a quiet refuge from the city. Thanks so much!

I didn’t realize the room would be “interior” - there was a glazed window that let light in, but looked into a roof and into other rooms. Also, the sauna was very difficult to find, but I ended up getting there in the end!

The bed was cozy, and the sauna and gym were a nice plus.

swimming pool was more like pond, but maybe it was just my missexpectation. There was a wall next to my window. Staff was not unpolite, but not very nice either.
