We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe bathroom is small and the toilet location makes it a little difficult to enter the shower from the rear and not get sprayed with water.
This new hotel is great. It is in a good location, easy to walk to dining options and grocery. The king studio suite was spacious, although the bathroom is small. The daily breakfast was good. The gym has a good offering of cardio & weight equipment. The pool is nice. The staff was fantastic!

United StatesThe only thing not perfect about this place is that there is no free parking, we didn't rent a car so that was not an issue this time.
This is one of the best hotel experience. The hotel is super bright, clean and comfortable with good breakfast. Front dest are super friendly and helpful, made our stay so much better. If I visit Austin downtown area again I will definitely stay here.

United StatesI didn't like the fact zi was charged more than what was advertised. If you all say on your website that this is with tax and fees included then this what I'm expected to pay. I got there and additional taxes and fees were included. I also asked for my military discount and state rate. The receptionist said I could not get it because I booked my room through you all. If this is the caseI will not use you all to book my next room.

There was a large picture window in my room with a very flimsy curtain for privacy, so at 5:30 a.m. on the day after New Year's Eve, there was a huge sunlit, bright room with no way to close the blinds. It was very, very unpleasant.
