Rooms were not serviced every other day as promised on the flyer they hand you at check in. Ours was done after three nights. I ask at the front desk before being cleaned that they refill the conditioner dispenser in the bathroom. Came back 3 hours later to find a clean room but no conditioner. Went down to the front desk and requested this again. Told they would alert housekeeping but no one ever came. Also note the pool is shared by two hotels so it’s very busy in the evenings.

The breakfast is very busy as it is two hotels sharing one space. But good food and plenty of selection. Staff was constantly refilling. Rooms were roomy. Loved being close to the museums.

The scheduled hot breakfast wasn’t my vibe.

We loved being able to walk to the museum campus, Willis Tower, and Cloud Gate. The proximity and variety of restaurants were a big plus too.

One elevator was broken. With only 1 elevator working, we had to wait 20 min or more every time we needed to use it. This was extremely frustrating! It appeared as though the elevator had been broken for quite a while.

Great Room, Poor Hospitality, Cold Pool Area

Staff were unfriendly. When we arrived at checkin time at 4pm, we were told our room wasn't ready, after traveling 6 hours with a 1 year old and 3 year old. We had to wait in the lobby for 30 minutes to get our room--we were hungry and wanted to be able to drop our stuff, to grab dinner. Additionally, the woman at the check-in counter was very cold, flippant, and not understanding--she had a european accent and shoulder length hair. All in all, the staff all felt angry to be there. The next day, we called downstairs to ask what the situation was for strollers on buses and the same woman answered and said "i don't know, sorry" and promptly hung up. The Hospitality was 0. The pool area is FREEZING. I saw a man sitting there in a coat. The water is even colder. Hot tub was FILTHY.

Breakfast was very mid. I've had many hotel continental breakfasts and would rat this one a 6/10. NOT EVEN WAFFLES. Our corner room suite was incredible! The room and the location was the best part of our stay. We LOVED our room.

The lift was out of order for our whole stay which meant long delays to get up and down from your room. From previous reviews this seems to have been going on quite a while. No ability to take the stairs between floors either. Breakfast wasn't great and the use of disposable styrofoam a disgrace. We only had breakfast there once because of this. Hilton needs to do better in this regard. Our room wasn't cleaned for the 5 nights of our stay. We did get extra towels and coffee pods from the cleaning staff but the rubbish wasn't emptied during our stay.

1 bed room a good size. Nicely equipped kitchen. Beds comfortable. The location is good, near to the lake - easy walk into the city and a metro station a couple of mins walk away.

Our digital key did not work as the app prompted me how it would. It also didn’t tell me I needed a physical one at this location in order to work the elevator and when we asked a cleaning staff member when we finally got on and it wouldn’t take us to our floor she was rude and said “I don’t know I just work here”. There should maybe be signs in the elevator about this so we could have gotten off back at the lobby to quickly get physical keys. Once we got to the room it didn’t work at the door so we had to wait outside our room with all of our luggage for about 20 mins for the engineer to come just to then have to go back down to the lobby for physical keys. The elevator wait times were sometimes over 10mins and you get locked out if taking the stairs, smell of the lobby area was strange the multi times being down there, early closing of the pool for adults, would have been nice to have adults only after a certain time because it was packed with families past closing so we skipped going in, breakfast was packed and many things were were out including hot water and coffee so we didn’t end up getting anything and again the elevator was a fiasco so we took the stairs and got locked out.

Updated, clean, friendly staff, beautiful view and amazing value for money spent.

One of the 2 elevators seemed to be out of order, so there were long lines to use the elevator every time. Also, since the hotel is so close to the L, the trains are loud. But we had a corner room, so maybe not as loud for inner rooms.
