The place is super clean, and the staff was very friendly. They offered free pancakes on Sunday morning. The Hostel exceeded my expectations, the combination of good quality and low price would definitely make me choose Howzit hostel over a hotel any day.

Would be nice to adjust the air conditioning in a common room on the 1st floor to the temperature outside. It is like to enter the fridge.

The hostel is well kept, with clean shared bathrooms, your sheets or towels are changed on demand. There is a well-equipped kitchen, sitting and dining area on the second floor and a large common room on the first floor. It is possible to enjoy your dinner in the yard behind the hostel under a huge tree. The hostel offers some activities - paid or free of charge with the expectation of some tips. Nearby is a petrol station Texaco where is possible to buy some drinks and snacks. Some restaurants (not posh and expensive) are also in the neighborhood.

It was really clean and well maintained but there could have been more furnishings to soften the living area and outdoor area to make it more inviting / colourful/ themed. Location is more up and coming. Some great wee shops and food trucks around.

I loved that the hostel offers free excursions and events every day. I went to a cool drum circle and on a great hike to a waterfall. Free breakfast is a nice touch and a whatsap group with all the guests makes it super easy to make friends and meet up to travel around with others which was great as a solo traveller.

I mean, it's a hostel so communal living may not be ideal for all. Mostly 20-somethings.

The staff were very, very friendly. The price (relative to the rest of Maui) was reasonable. The rooms had A/C, which made sleep possible. There was limited parking for a fee, which was great because street parking was difficult to find.

There’s nothing that we didn’t like!!!

Everything was perfect! It is the best hostel I’ve ever been to. The staff was amazing, everything was super clean and their entertainment at night was always so fun!
