Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The elevator on the 9th floor took a long time to arrive, sometimes as long as 8 minutes or more. The Destination Fee was a joke which amounted to ‘discounts’ on services which were not necessarily part of the hotel. The front desk personnel implied that the fee was mandatory which does not meet New York State law.
Large, quiet and clean rooms. Perfect location and very nice employees. We appreciated the bottled water provided each day without charge.

only minor: sometimes elevator waiting time was too long, choice for breakfast in the "market" downstairs.
location - just by the Time's square. View from the windows. Very clean, spacious room. Very comfortable beds. Good amenities (iron, coffea/tea)

Booked/paid for a room with 2 beds. That room type wasn't available for check in. We had to share a king bed with our daughter or get a cot. . Wasn't terrible and the staff did give us a credit to use. But...would have been nice to get what we paid for and reserved. That being said, I would stay here again. It was worth the minor inconvenience

The shower was kinda eh nothing I would want to stand in barefoot. There was no toilet paper initially or any amenities which is weird for such an expensive stay. The reception was nice but I kinda expected a concierge to help me out and do reservations of I wanted them. But no. No spa either and an insanely expensive cleaning service for clothes. Like if buying new stuff is cheaper that's kinda odd.
Location was very good. Nice high floor that ment it was relatively quiet. Mostly everything was clean although somewhat rundown.

There are not a lot of taxis that frequent the hotel location. We ended up hiring the hotel car/driver for our departure, we were told by the bellman it was 50$ but once seated the driver told us 55$. Seemed confusing.
Great stay! We took my daughter and family to NYC for her 21st bday! Hyatt Centric Times Square had the perfect location. Easy to walk everywhere! We walked to Rockefeller center several times, went to the Rockettes show, Top of Rock, and Bryant Park! Highly recommend all! Lots of places to eat, shop, and sight see. We recommend John's Pizza, Bobby Van's (literally across the street), venture up to Bar 54 (need reservation), The Porch (Bryant Park), and the dining below Rockefeller center. Our room was bigger than expected, we had a 2 queen bed with city view. Great service, updated, and clean. The view was great. We could see times square. The room was equipped with black out curtains. We used them half way. Some noise (21st Floor) but nothing terrible. We will definitely stay again. Shout out to Emily at the front desk storing our many bags because we were early for our check in.

We asked the front desk for recommendations for a 24 hour pharmacy because our son was very ill. They weren't able to give us any sort of guidance.
You can't beat the location of the property. Just close enough to Times Square yet far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Overall, the property was well kept.

NY City is the city that never sleeps, but there was no food available late night at the hotel. The fresh food that was available earlier in the day was 5 days old, so we didn’t get any food there at all.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. All of them, not just one or two.

Wish there was a microwave in the guest rooms.
