We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United StatesIt was a bit noisy at night (could have been the protesters at the hotel chain nearby). We were on the 8th floor, and there is only 1 elevator so at times there was a wait. Breakfast was an added fee that was not optional, and wasn't all that great (donuts, etc). Not sure if lack of A/C in San Francisco is standard, but it wasn't something we were expecting, but again we weren't expecting the weather to be in the high 80s either.
The ceiling fan worked great (especially good since there was no air conditioning and San Francisco was experiencing a heat wave). There was nice sized closet with room for luggage to be open. The bar/lounge downstairs was a nice place for a drink. It is very close to a good brewery/restaurant as well as the cable car.

The room first allotted was tiny. However on our request they changed the room to a bigger one next morning. Added bonus was a free croissant, fruits and coffee breakfast every morning, which was unannounced.

JapanThe area around the hotel is scary at night. Many homeless people going around. This is the same problem in downtown Los Angeles. Better to avoid downtown areas at night while traveling in Cali.
The room vibe was cool. Felt like being in a movie. The front staff was so great!!! The snacks and drinks in the morning were good.

AustraliaFor our own individual needs, we would have appreciated a fridge in the room and access to ice, though everything was excellent value for money. We knew about the challenges that the inner city is experiencing in advance, which can be confronting, but it's a great location for the BART which we used multiple times, not only to and from the airport.
Very helpful check-in clerk looked after us after our long trip from Australia. The room was clean, well maintained and very comfortable with historic charm.
