Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe arrived late. Everything was dark and looked unwelcoming. The rooms are super small.
There is a real charm in the lobby and the area behind offered small group seatings, activities, water, and more.

CanadaThe rooms were on the smaller side, as were the bathrooms. However, it appears to be an older property, so this is expected; and you don’t go on vacation to sit in the hotel room anyways. Also, this property is technically in the Tenderloin neighbourhood which may discourage some… but I can say that we had no issues at all.
The hotel was clean, the staff was great, and the rooms were comfortable. My cousin & I went for a weekend trip, and the price of this hotel for a 3 night stay was unbeatable.

The hotel staff was great. The low scores is because we got stuck in the elevator for an hour. But the staff accommodated us with moving our room and getting us an Uber to our next excursion

GermanyWe were on the 5th floor and the elevator was out of order the whole time we were there. Although coffee was offered in the lobby everyday, a breakfast option would be a great addition.
The location was good. A lot of vagrants in the area, but it was convenient to public transport and shopping locations. The room was clean and the staff were fantastic.

AustraliaRoom size was very small, and there wasn’t an AC in the room so only circulation was an overhead fan and opening the window to let in some cold air. However, it didn’t really impact us in the slightest for a short stay!
Such a great location, fabulous staff, very quaint but lots of character. Complimentary tea and coffee each day too!

United StatesWhen my partner said she couldn't ride the elevator (too small, claustrophobic), they upgraded us to a larger room on the next floor up. Staff was very kind, respectful, and responsive. A very very nice 3 star hotel at a great location. We will definitely stay here again.

FinlandThe View from my window was terrible but I wasn't there because of that so overall it didn't effect for my fantastic 10 days experience to San Francisco at all; room was for sleeping.
Fantastic location and staff was friendly and ready to help if needed. Room / Hotel was quiet so I slept my nights very well. Fridge and coffee machine in my room were very useful.

United StatesThere are some homeless vagrants in the area who are under the influence of drugs and bothering people for money while others were openly injecting each other with syringes. I didn't like that the 2nd maid on day two felt the need to insist I leave a tip for cleaning the room. I would've done so anyway just as a gesture of goodwill but it gave me the impression that maybe she's not being paid a decent living wage.
The hotel location is near the Powell BART station...only a 5 minute walk. The front desk agent Ariel was very welcoming, professional and friendly. I felt safe inside the hotel and guests staying at the hotel were friendly.
