Pleasant hotel at a few minutes drive from the State Street promenade with its lovely shops, bars, restaurants and turist attractions. The city is so cute with its low buildings that remind us of Spanish arquitechture!

Tip: book a room upstairs with a view of the centre of the hotel. We didn’t realise what we’d booked and didn’t 🙄 lovely, lovely hotel. Very relaxing. Wonderful restaurant, wonderful garden to relax in, high quality pool. We should have stayed a week!

The decor was dated in the room but clean. Updates for sure are due.

Wine and food from restaurant was fabulously delicious. The court yard and the bar were top notch. Erin the bartender was fantastic and was a wealth of knowledge for touring around town. Loved the lightening and locals flare.

Noise from the pool and restaurant can be an issue at times, but it quiets down late at night. The rooms are clean but very basic and the lighting is rather dark in the rooms.

Great location, clean and a great value for Santa Barbara. It is within walking distance to stores and coffee shops. All the rooms have a pleasant view of the pool and garden, and doors that open onto a balcony. Lots of free parking.

The linens are rough, and the furnishings are dated. The chair at the desk had chipped paint.

The location and price were what made this stay acceptable. The outdoor patio and pool area were lovely. I love the landscaping.

No fridge in room. Didn’t like having to pay $150 refundable deposit per room.

Easily accessible for our road trip. Spacious rooms but missed having a fridge. Pool and crocodile bar were excellent for relaxing after long days. On bus route into downtown so could leave car for a couple of days.

It's about a 10 minute drive to town, and public transport isn't very frequent in the evenings so you'll need to drive or taxi.

The pool is great and the ability to dine on site if you prefer. The rooms are pretty big and it's nice to have the balcony.

The carpets in the rooms need some deep cleaning, even the soles of our shoes turned black. The room above us or next to us, used the bath tap during the night - the noise was unbearable.

Very pleasant communication with the front desk. The hotel has a great location and spacious parking. Did not use the pool and the bar, but looked nice.

I thought the hotel was really expensive for what it was, but I recognize that it was because we stayed there during UCSB move in weekend and the rates were high everywhere. I also thought the pillows could have been better.

I liked the location of the hotel which was very close to downtown and the staff at the check in counter were friendly. We didn't use the pool but the pool area courtyard looked charming. They also have a large restaurant on premises which is handy if you don't feel like venturing out for dinner.

The bed was comfortable but had a very noisy metal base. I'd never seen (or heard) anything like that before.

The pool grounds were lovely, surrounded by gardens and next to a beautiful outdoor restaurant. I especially liked the private outdoor patios on the lower level where we sat and had breakfast and snacks. The rooms were very spaciousand it was very quiet despite being on upper State Street.

This might not necessarily be the properties fault, but we had drunk neighbors raging on in the middle of the night. Some action probably should’ve been taken.

Very convenient location to everything I want to see in Santa Barbara. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. I like that I had my own seating area and the pool was very nice.

The bed was uncomfortable, the shower was new and clean, but for $300+ a night, not impressed. I realize things are expensive in Santa Barbara but this felt like a cheap Holiday Inn on a 5 star Marriot budget.

Pool area was beautiful and was nice to be able to walk over to the restaurant for dinner.

The light on the patio was on all night. We requested it off and that occurred 1 night. We'd prefer control of the light or even no light as the property lights might be enough for ambiant lighting.

Everything was better than we anticipated and great for our stay. I enjoyed the evening music, on Friday I think. Cleaning was very good. Property is so nice!!
