Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe heat was cranked on high and we had to turn on the air conditioning in order not to cook. The bathroom sink was fixed on scalding hot making it impossible to wash hands in it. The motion light in the bathroom for the light and fan activated every time we moved in the room (should be installed differently), there was hardly any toilet paper in the room, and we called front desk left multiple messages, and went to get help in person to the desk multiple times for it, no answer, but the front desk was unattended and no one was in the office at around 7am. We had a place to sleep but I would not recommend nor return.
I liked it was affordable.

Puerto RicoThe staff was awful and there was non when in need of help. One of our room cards didn’t even work. The room had broken poor conditions desk and chair, bathroom doorknob was broken too. The room didn’t seem very clean. There was a mustard bottle outside the window & we had to close and secure the window because it was open. We read reviews prior the stay tried to cancel and they didn’t let us. Since we got there without any good expectations it was as bad as expected. You get what you paid for and is NOT a HOTEL category, is basically a Hostel/Motel/airbnb category, so take that into consideration. MAKE SURE YOU SELECT A FREE CANCELLATION STAY. We didn’t and that’s why we had to stay there because we didn’t want to lose our money. The service is the worse.
It was a great location.

United StatesFacilities felt very run down and amenities were minimal and bare-bones. Bed was not comfortable (basically a mattress on top of two wooden blocks), and there was only one hanger in the slim closet unit. Basically this is a few steps above a hostel, but thankfully a private room with a private bathroom.
Great location just a block away from Moynihan train hall, which places it within an easy walk to Times Square, the Theater District, Herald Square, Restaurant Row, Bryant Park, and more.

IrelandRoom was super small, so was the toilet. Plugs were not working most of the time. It was cold and there was only a little heater that stopped working as the electricity system would make the plugs stop working every single time.

United Kingdom- dirty linen and towels (not sure what kind of stains…) - the room had a gnat/flies issue - no elevator (room on 4th floor so be mindful if you have mobility issues) - the room didn’t have TV and AC remotes nor working hairdryer (provided by the staff after requesting and walking up and down the four flights of stairs…) - no desk, cupboard, small table, had to leave everything on the floor or on a tiny bedside table The photos are a bit misleading, the property is really old and poorly maintained. We are a couple travelling with backpack so we made it work (even though the gnats issue was nasty) given it was the cheapest option in Manhattan during our stay, however if you are travelling as a family, have mobility issues or have high standards for your hotel I would NOT recommend you stay here. If you can live with some level of discomfort and just use the room to sleep a few hours and get going it could be a decent solution given the location.
- Location, seconds away from Madison Square garden and minutes away from Penn Station (arriving from Newark it was great); - Staff was kind and tried to help with our requests - it was the cheapest option for a private bathroom in Manhattan - decent bed
