We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesIt was difficult to control the temperature in our room using the thermostat. Too hot for sleeping and the AC would not work consistently. The room itself and bathroom were very small. One of the push buttons for the toilet did not work. There was no fitted sheet on the bed. Overall, it was very basic and I expected a little more of an upscale experience for the price we paid for the room.
We liked the overall historic feel of the hotel and its location. Staff was very helpful and friendly, especially the bellhops and restaurant staff. Bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomI don't like shower curtains over baths anyway, I prefer to just have an enclosed shower unit in a hotel room, but this one was particularly slippy and I almost fell on a couple of occasions.
The location! For a downtown option in Chicago at this price, it's an excellent option. We were walkable to all of the bars and restaurants, and other attractions on Millennium Mile. We were also able to walk along the lakeside to a boat tour with the Chicago Architecture Society (which I would also recommend). A few aspects of the room showed their age, a cupboard door that wouldn't shut, etc. But nothing serious. Overall, it was a nice, big, comfortable room in the centre of Chicago with all of the facilties we needed.

The hotel is located in a beautiful designers area, you could walk distance from malls and restaurants, the 360 observation deck is just 1 block away, Our room has a partial beach view, Room was super clean, bed was very confortable we sleep very well every night, service is always aware and friendly. Very good value for the price !

United States$50 dollars a day deposit is held on top of the price I was quoted for a four night stay. The charge won’t be returned for 5 to 10 business days after you pay. Never had a hotel do this. Poorly explained by staff.
