Was in room 845 and had mold growing in shower grout. Long dark hair on tub area, i have blond hair. Not acceptable anywhere, but for sure not for price of room and facilities. Someone should be checking these rooms after cleaning.

Beautiful grounds. Great valet person i asked to store our luggage. Young guy with dark hair. Liked 12:00 checkout.

The spa was very limited and seemed to be short staffed. The in room breakfast wasn’t great but it also wasn’t the worst. The cafe downstairs was decently priced and pretty good. The hot tub and pools were great, no complaints there. Lots to do so, don’t expect to want to stay in bed.

You cannot check in until 4pm, and all of the amenities are shutting down shortly after so if you stay one night, you are really only enjoying the room. Also, we enjoyed the pool table but people left there kids unaccompanied in there and it was pretty loud,

the cleanliness of the room and facility. We also enjoyed the valet and friendliness of the staff.

Lots of walking, several banks of elevators and lack of signage led to a lot of confusion about how to find our way to closest door to get outside with our pet. We encountered quite a few people who were "lost" as well. Maybe a map of the hotel would help. Guests will realize the pricey room reflects the many conveniences and amenities of the property; while the room is adequate, it isn't luxurious and does show a bit of "run down" look -- chipped tub, lower water pressure, no microwave, some outlets not working -- but this isn't a place to waste in your room.

We liked having multiple options for food and snacks, even up to 10 p.m. Enjoyed the Billiards room at night with pingpong, pool tables, and shuffleboard. Lots of people were using the pool, so maybe it was heated, and outdoor tables, games, and movies playing outside. We enjoyed the walking trail and visited Aquarium and Rain Forest. We could have gone to the Visitor Center and watched a 4D movie there in the evening when most of the visitors had gone. There is a lot to do, having the hotel colocated with the Aquarium, Zip Line, Rain Forest, Schlitterbahn, boat tour, walking trail, playgrounds, huge swimming pool. The hotel has a lot of sitting areas/nooks tucked away, as well as a large lobby with seating.

Perhaps updating of hotel rooms. Since we were there in the off season, not too many of the activities were open. The Colonel Paddlewheel boat was supposedly only operating on the weekends, and other activities were getting updated w/ new installations of televisions in the theatres, Discovery Museum were getting new exhibits installed. Make sure to check before you go, what activities are open and check the prices that are charged for them.

The amenities that we paid for were great, such as the Rain Forest & Aquarium with the limited hours of closure being 4 since we were off season. We did enjoy the employees who were there to answer our questions in the Rain Forest and felt blessed that the Moody Foundation has such a great interest in both the ocean and the rain forest. We were pleasantly surprised at all the animals and birds w/in the rainforest as well as all the plants. Employees seemed very knowledgeable. We also thought the aquarium was well done and loved seeing the birds and animals of the Gulf of Mexico as well as other oceans and animals that were on display. Again the employees and volunteers were helpful and knew answers to our questions. Bartender was very friendly and helpful, even though there were not many of us there at the hotel. Our room could stand some updating as carpeting had some pulls of threads that made it look tired, needing updating. We did not use the pool due to weather and time constraints. View from our hotel room were amazing. I'm sure more activities would be open more in March with Spring Break approaching.

Very well kept and vey convenient access to all of the best attractions. Short drive to the Strand. The stunning architecture, and beautiful views combined with the gardens and aquarium make this a worthwhile stay. Food at their establishment was first rate.
