Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAt 12:45am a male knocked on my door. I did not open the door but did ask who is it & what did they need. The man asked if I requested headphones. I said no and they left. If it was a hotel employee they never identified themselves as such and since when do hotels provide headphones? The next morning around 8:30am someone knocked on my door again. This time no one responded to my question, who is it? I looked through the door’s peephole but never saw anyone. Could it have been housekeeping? Glad I was already awake as that knocking would have disturbed my sleep! Checkout wasn’t till 11am that morning - not sure why housekeeping would have disturbed me that early. All in all, those 2 incidents, especially the one after midnight was unnerving and concerning given the crime rate in Austin, the number of homeless on Guadalupe Street, and the lackadaisical protocols of the Austin police/mayor to rampant crime in the area. Hotels should ensure that non-guests are kept out of the establishment for everyone’s safety.
Very close to UT-Austin. Comfortable bed, free cocktail, 24/7 taco eatery (food was very good), easy check-in, arranged a late checkout which was helpful, unique concept hotel lobby & design.

GermanyThe room was not very clean, I found multiple blonde hairs on the towels and sheets (my hair is brown). Also, for the price, the room was very basic, no iron, no coffee maker, or even fridge (and I paid $400 a night)
Friendly staff, great location, and comfy bed

United StatesI didn’t like how small the rooms were the view of the courtyard was literally the roof of the court yard so you couldn’t see anything that was happening of the court yard.

United StatesUnfortunately the price for space is terrible and our AC malfunctioning caused a horrible nights sleep for my wife and I.

United StatesCleanliness. Welcome drink. Great food at the taco stand in the hotel.
The location was not great. Wish I had stayed closer to downtown. I travel a lot and I am used to exceptional service at hotels. No help with luggage, no help with anything really. They checked us in, and we really had no more interaction with staff. The room was tiny and did not have a standard bathroom. The sink is in the room and then there is like this free-standing stall shower with a curtain. Very strange. I actually had the Moxy Miami booked for August but canceled and booked somewhere else. It was clean and that was a plus but overall, I was disappointed.

United StatesI wish I had known parking was extra before I booked. The staff was very unfriendly. When I called to add parking to my reservation, the employee said "I'll add you!" and he hung up as if he didn't have time to deal with me. He did not ask if i needed anything else nor did he end the call with a polite "Good day"! Also, we were unable to sleep because others were so loud. We called down to the front desk but nothing seemed to be done about it.
The location to the University of Texas was great. Having the market in the lobby was great, as well.

United StatesElevator wasn't working properly. No real restaurant, just a taco joint.
what breakfast, there was no breakfast. I was appalled at the price and how poor the rooms were and how expensive this place was. No taxes were mentioned on the website when I booked. It was close to 200 dollars more in Taxes than the room price quoted.

United StatesDidn’t like having to pay for parking as a guest. For the price of the stay the hotel room should have come with a fridge. The pillows were also cheap and had no support.
I liked the unique decor and the asthetic of the place.

United StatesIt was SO Noisy! Street traffic, mysterious banging noises all around. I didn’t sleep well at all and that’s enough to discourage me from coming back.
Super cool concept, the decor and layout of the room was nice. Loved the games and photo ops downstairs. People working the bar/check in we’re super friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe walls are very thin, I had to have my room switched. Parking is free on the street during the weekend, but your car is extremely vulnerable.
I loved the accessibility to everything in town, Central bar in the middle of the hotel and Zombie Taco was amazing.

United StatesThe rooms are very expensive for what you get and small. You also have to ask for all the amenities. They’re just not in the room. So it’s very inconvenient. Also, the parking was not sufficient.
The staff was very friendly and helpful
