Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOverall it was a pleasant experience. No complimentsry breakfast like I thought there was put a damper on the trip. I could have stayed in a Marriott nearer to Penn Ststion, same money and offered a free breakfast.
The location was good. Room was small, bathroom very good size. No complimentary breakfast and I am sure I saw it listed on your website.

United KingdomThe very loud packaged terminal air conditioner (PTAC) in the room, common in NYC. We couldn’t sleep at all, had to turn it off, preferring quiet over the heat.
Very good location, looks like has been recently refurbished, very impressive room size in Manhattan for a Marriott hotel. Safe street, street lights over night.

CanadaPretty sure we had a queen sized bed not a king. But the room was ready early and very nice so not a big deal.
Early check in and check out at noon were ideal! Breakfast at the Starbucks/cafe was very good. Handy to be on location.

FranceThe Marriott Times Square West is very well located in a nice area of New York, close to all the attractions and Time Square. The room was confortable and well equiped, with a nice and modern bathroom. The value for money was good when you compare to the hotlels of the same category in NY.

United StatesI was in town for the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden. The hotel was in great proximity to get to and from the arena. It was also close to subway stations for easy transportation around the city. The room is small but completely adequate. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel facilities were clean.

AustraliaI'd really love a microwave in every hotel room I stay in, but hey ... not here.
The location was amazing - a short walk to Times Square, and right in the middle of the Garment Precinct - for anyone who has an obsession with all things sewing (like my spouse). There were also a number of great small restaurants nearby. The staff were great - friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was well appointed and comfortable.

LithuaniaRooms in lower floors with a view to the inner yard have no very good view, but it's NYC. The upper floors are much better.
The hotel is in a perfect place a few minutes to Times, 15 minutes to Central Park: small shops downstairs, and the metro station is also a few minutes away. In the lobby they have a cafeteria, we didn't eat there, but looks good, and also they serve Starbucks coffee :). All good, it worth staying.

United KingdomWater pressure in shower not great.
Good location. Decent size room (For New York) If you just want a decent, clean room for exploring New York this is great. Times Square, Central Park, Bryant Park, Macys, Hudson Yards all walkable from here. Plus close to 8/9th Ave (better choice of restaurants than the tourist traps!)

LithuaniaIt’s true that there are some homeless people at the street and sometimes it smells but they did not approach us nor we felt unsafe. They are everywhere around midtown and especially times square area. I was asked at the desk if i’d like daily cleaning, but the maid skipped couple of days. Also very strange - since we were two friends sharing the bed (no separates left), we asked for a spare blanket/comforter. Took 3 attempts to receive it (reception would forget) and then they would take it away after each cleaning during 7 days. Each time we should call again and ask for it back - not a tragedy but funny why? They also take the deposit from a card (100 per night or 300 tops) and it wasn’t very comfortable for me as i’m a foreigner and it will take forever to receive it back. Wasn’t possible to pay deposit in cash.
Awesome value for money! I was travelling during off season in febuary and booked through a deal. Due to my birthday they upgraded my room for a higher floor with a view - thank you so much:) beds were so comfy, bathroom was big and had a bathtube. TV with netflix and bluetooth. Clean, cozy, doesn’t feel busy even when fully booked.
