Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Orange stain on the bed sheet. The mattress was outdated, it hurt my back.

The lobby had an odd smell. The breakfast was just a continental breakfast. Our sister had a medical emergency, so we only spent about 4 hours in our room because we were in the ER until 2:30 am.
Location was great. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast - nothing special.

The parking was difficult. Lots of deep snow and no snow plowing. I had to shovel out my car in the morning. The breakfast was disappointing. Everything was individually wrapped, the plastic bags were high quality but the food inside was not.
I needed a place to stay to wait out a snowstorm. I enjoyed the fireplace in the lobby and the coffee was good.

The breakfast was very sparse. A couple of packets of instant oatmeal, a few boxes of cold cereal, pre-packaged baked goods (of the sort you might get from a vending machine. We ended up going the a local cafe for breakfast. The heating unit was a bit noisy, as was the in-room mini fridge.
The bed and pillows were quite comfortable, and the room was very clean. Front staff was help in suggesting a fabric store (there is not a locally owned one, but there is a large JoAnn's) Given that we came to check out a music venue, and stay the night we were satisfied..

The only hot option for breakfast was waffles.
Our room and bathroom were super clean (even in the corners of the room). Also, the staff was helpful and courteous throughout our stay.

I would have liked a hot breakfast with protein. But at least there were cold hard-boiled eggs. Also, the staff weren't familiar with Red Wing. Location: OK but very difficult to find the entrance. The one sign was low to the ground and behind a parked vehicle.
Seemed clean. Staff were very pleasant.

Were looking forward to the waffles for breakfast. They ran out & said they didn't have any more to refill. Reserved 2 king bed rooms online several months ahead of time. When we got there they had one king room and one room with 2 beds for us. Because they were full, they couldn't make the change. Price was the same.

Stayed 7 days. Couple days I wanted cleaned and didn’t happen. Had to ask. Tv controls did not work right. Offered another room but I would have to pay extra for it. So I just dealt with it. Also when I booked I didn’t realize Fri and Sat would be sooooo expensive. Almost choked when I saw bill. $90 more per nite for Fri and Sat. feel like I got gouged

Instructions for the TV would have been helpful since Direct TV is new to us and instruction on how to operate the shower. Should have been straight forward but wew were tired from the long drive.
Friendly staff, clean tooms, adequate breakfast and all at a good price. I'll stay again.

Wish breakfast went on another hour. Hard to find main desk coming from train station late at night
