We had the room "serviced" in the middle of the trip. All that happened was we got clean towels. The bed sheets weren't changed. The bed wasn't even made. The French press and coffee cups weren't cleaned or replaced.

The hotel was recently renovated and clean. The free breakfast was great. The French press coffee was a nice add.

Unfortunately at breakfast there was no variety of food, the food was below average and cutlery & plates were just for single use. That’s not only bad for the environment but also easy to change and we’ve experienced it differently in all other hotels so far. Also be aware of the fact that the walls are quite thin, so it’s easy to hear your room neighbours.

We especially loved the interior and the location at the beach and a bit off the 101. Very comfy bed and amazing view directly on the pacific! Very clean room as well as very friendly staff. Also fair price for what you get. Despite the negatives we would recommend it and also come back ourselves.

The website advertises Smith tea maker at the hotel and as a part of the breakfast, but they do not carry it anymore. This was definitely one of my favorite parts about this hotel. During our breakfast on the first morning things were delayed which isn't a big deal, but the woman now working on getting everything settled was visibly stressed.

I love the location of this hotel, absolutely perfect. The staff is incredibly helpful, and quick to answer questions or take care of concerns. Gorgeous rooms and accomodations for service animals.

There was sand in our tub in the Jacuzzi tub but I know that there is sand around so I understand being a housekeeper myself. I know how hard it is to get stuff like that out. However, there was only a little bit in it, so it wasn't terrible.

I’ve stayed here before, but this time was beyond what I would have hoped for. Our reservation was messed up and didn’t include our fur baby, but Surfland got us into another room at the last minute for my son’s 21st birthday celebration.

It was a good stay.

It was nice, a little higher priced then I am used to paying but so worth it for the view alone. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. Wow, the view couldn't be much better than from our room .

The pool seemed on the colder side. Our room was quite warm but they did give us a box fan to use. They should add some fresh fruit to the breakfast.

We loved the view, courtyard, spa, and large deck area. All of the staff were very nice & accommodating. The breakfast was okay.

I think it would be helpful for directions on the in room spa and our TV appeared to have apps, but the remote didn't seem to be able to access them.

Windows only opened 2 inches, email from booking said total was $468, total at checkout at Surfland was $806 tax included.

Like room, view, french press coffee, fireplace, ocean sounds and view every morning, day. Enjoyed privacy, resting, and hot tea. Steps and sitting areas with benches overlooking ocean beach.
