Well didn’t have any high expectations. But it was okay for a 2 night stay. Great location. The building is too old. My main problem was the dump and the smell in the bathroom you couldn’t breathe. But I would stay again only for 1-2 days

The loud guests that were on my floor. It's not the hotel's fault as they didn't know this nor can control how their guests behave. However, my floor felt like being in the college dorms. People with their loud conversations walking up and down the halls and screaming at 2am. Guests do not know how to close a door as they slam it. When it slams, it rattles other doors. Just common courtesy when you go places as you're not the only one who is sharing this space. I'll be back again as I won't let this deter me. It's a reflection on how the guests are, so no worries.

Everything was seamless when I arrived. There are two portions to access the hotel. I had to enter through the Italian restaurant to access the elevator to go to my room. This entrance to the restaurant is open 24-7 so no need to worry about rushing to get back to your room at a certain time. I loved the cleanliness, the bed was comfortable and the space was exactly what I was looking for. I don't care for extravagant spaces. This was a good find. A place to lay my head while I go out and explore Miami. I loved getting up early to go for a run on Ocean Drive just right before sunrise! An amazing experience. I also enjoyed my new found bakery that is on Washington Street - Bettant Bakery. Will definitely be back again!

We didn't like the musty smell. We opened the windows to refresh the room air, but the mouldy smell didn't go away. It didn't have anything to do with the cleanliness of the room (the room was very clean!!), it was about the mouldy odour, maybe because we were very close to the beach and the humidity sinks in the buildings...

The location of the hotel is amazing, beach is 3 mins away and restaurants/cafés/shops also directly at the hotel. Staff is really friendly and helpful.

That you had to walk through a restaurant to get the the unit. That there was no elevator for our floor and we had to pull our suitcases ip almost a flight of steps. No view. No safe. The door deadbolt did not work. The shower door didn’t shut. That the cleaning person walked in our room without knocking.

Although there was a coffee machine, there was no cup for coffee or any glass for water to drink. Perhaps some basic drink equipment would be helpful.

Ocean Five Hotel was the perfect place for a last minute, one night stay. The staff were friendly, the lobby was nice, and the location was perfect. I appreciated that they offered free beach towels to borrow. Our room was simple, but clean and comfortable. No complaints!

The hotel was in the perfect location and in very short walking distance to the beach. The facilities were clean and I enjoyed my stay. There was a time when my key didn't work and staff jumped on it immediately, there after, I had no problem. I'd definitely stay again!!

Everything was amazing. Staff were very communicative and helpful before and during our stay! Location is outstanding... (we rented bikes from 3 blocks away for $30 for 24 hours and saw the entire Miami Beach, Little Havana, Downtown and Wynward areas!)

The room is exactly as I was expecting, clean end comfortable. The location is super, top. You can find everything around, bar, restaurants, shops, food markets. And you are just 3 minutes walk from the beach.

The mattresses are placed on aluminum bedframes, which are broken (and have clearly been repaired a few times). This made for an uncomfortable sleep. The walls aren't soundproof. The receptionist, Jorge, wasn't very helpful with an issue where our children stayed next to a couple who were violently fighting (with the lady even screaming for help - which we relayed to him). Simply brushed it off that he can only ask them to quiet down after 10pm. Regardless, I still rate the property as very good as these issues are fixable should the owners care to improve the experience for future guests.

The host was very courteous and considerate. Responded to all queries and very proactive and informative to help make our visit a pleasant one. The location is also great and the rooms were very clean. The Italian Restaurant downstairs serves a great breakfast. The beach is literally a block away. There's an ATM on the premises and you have access to beach towels.
