United StatesI expect that part of the cost for my stay is for the unit to be cleaned when I leave. This had clearly not be done properly since the last person stayed in this unit. The dust on top of the refrigerator was a clear indication that little had been done in the way of cleaning before our stay. The dust was also evident on the cabinet molding as well as the top edge of the microwave. Also, the dust under the bed in the primary bedroom was exceptionally bad. This aggravated my wife's dust and dust mite allergies even after we made attempts to clean the unit ourselves. I was surprised to note the poor condition of the screen slides for the balcony, especially the one for the bedroom which made it unusable to enjoy the ocean breeze that was available during our stay. Along the same lines it is worth mentioning that the living room sofas were not comfortable and a poor choice for the expectations we've come to take for granted when booking a stay at Ocean Pointe. Due to this stay being the the exception to our usual experience with Ocean Pointe I did not want to do a negative review on any of the websites that provide complaints to individuals considering a booking with the property. It should be said though that I imagine some owners minimize their expenses by selection of easily replaceable furniture and/or small televisions (we really don't watch) there comes a point where a guest looks around at the damaged base cabinets, the dollar store eating utensils, the torn screens, and the filth of dust around them and starts to question their expenditure. Had it not been for the cleaning problems I might have overlooked the various issues and just made a note to not consider 1309 in my future reservations. Perhaps the cleaning staff should be provided a maintenance checklist as part of their procedures and be spot checked from time to time. BTW We still left a small tip not wishing to penalize the wrong person.
We absolutely love Ocean Pointe and make it there as often as possible. I may have overlooked the instructions for the new key pickup location but now that I am aware of this it should be a lot smoother than it was this trip. It was nice to see the sprucing up of the building exteriors and the grounds and pool area were as always clean and inviting.

Then i asked her if there is a restaurant for breakfast on site as i will have no car and will go groceries later when my husband will be back, she said yes there is a small restaurant. There was nothing open until 12 so i had to walk to the gas station with my children. Not impressed. Coffee machine was mouldy in the condo Cleaning not done well: we found popcorn under the sofa

GermanyHughe resort with five big buildings and hundreds of apartments. Balcony and private beach are ultra tiny. Pool area quite basic. Surroundings of buildings very undone, garbage and dozens of homeless cats. Unfriendly check-in staff. We were really happy that we booked this accommodation for one night only.

Lots of little issues like dead batteries in most of the remote controls, coffee pods not the right size for the coffee maker, 1 tiny frying pan in what should have been a fully functional condo kitchen. No lamps in the living room just glaring overhead lights. For this price point, we expected better. We would return to the property but only if we could see the actual unit we are renting.

United StatesUnit was very dated. Sofa was very dirty- filthy old and worn. The bathroom with twin beds was poorly cleaned. Coffee maker had coffee and grounds in it- was not clean when we arrived. The toilet in the master is too low to ground and did not flush - needed three teies to get a complete flush. The chairs in living room not comfortable or practical.

United StatesThe unit assigned was on floor 4. Upon arrival we found out the elevator was non-operational so I had to carry luggage up four flights of stairs. I found out from another traveler that the elevator was not working for a week prior, AND they had told the office about this a week prior that and they assisted in moving the couple. When I called to let the office know that the elevator was non-operational they said that they didn’t know (which I now know is untrue). I didn’t ask for any enumeration, just wanted to let office know that elevator didn’t work.
I picked up the keys at a remote location from the property. They allowed us to check in early as rage unit was unoccupied

Stayed two nights in 3305, 2 good size bedrooms and bathrooms. Clean, spacious with a nice view of green trees and the ocean. We used the kitchen for breakfast. Everything we needed for dishes. The large pool area was across the convenient parking lot. The walk to the beach area 3 minutes with chairs and a place for drinks was very nice. My husband and I both enjoyed our stay here. We’ll definitely stay again.

United StatesWe weren't aware that all of the units are essentially operated by a property management company but owned by different individuals. While it wouldn't have been a big deal, our suite didn't have water for four hours. We were traveling with our young children (2 under 3 y/o), and the lack of water was a significant issue. When we reached out to staff, they did not respond to our query at first, letting us know that the entire building had water and to just "try again." After a few hours and two tired/hungry kids, we ended up grabbing dinner. When we went back to the reception office, we were told that they were able to arrange another suite for us to stay in. Again, for those not traveling with kids, this wouldn't have been a big issue however this impacted bedtime for us. We only stayed at this resort for two nights so this whole experience really impacted our time at this resort and left us wholly unimpressed by staff. If we come back to this resort, we'll probably book through airbnb as they would probably be just as responsive.
The resort is located in a good area; it was easy to get to the state park. As far as amenities go, they were fine - nothing really stood out as exceptional but pool and beach access were close.

United StatesThe condo was outdated and dirty and there was mold in one of the showers. We placed the pool towels over the furniture to feel comfortable enough to sit on them. The balcony is a small triangle allowing one person to sit. The beach is a small plot of land with some sand. You are required to pay $16/day for the pool whether you use it or not!! No soap for the bathroom - had to make 3 requests in 2 days to get them to deliver it. The toilet paper was very cheap and thin and the holder fell off the wall. The old bi-fold doors were difficult to move and were off track. The pictures on Booking.com are NOT reflective of what we got - this is false advertising!!

United StatesCheck in is not an easy process. You checking in in one location then drive to the property and register again. Also the main issue is that check in time is after 5pm and checkout is in the morning which leaves you very little time in between to use the property. I feel like some of these rentals are now really pushing it. it doesn't align with standard hotel checkin and checkout times so if you are just staying there for a night or two it won't work well at all. Other than that in our specific apt the queen bed was pretty old and basically falling apart. Would be better off just to have a basic boxspring or metal frame. The mattress was a very cheap basic uncomfortable spring mattress. But the funniest thing happened with the bedding. We went to bed and realized that there was no flat sheet on the bed. They had a really warm winter comforter wrapped in 2 fitted sheets. So you're expected to either cover yourself with this mess or sleep without a cover I guess. I had to call the office, get up and walk there to get the sheets just to find that the guy gave me another 2 fitted sheets, dress up again and walk to the office one more time . Pillowcases were also a bit too small for the pillows. Pretty bad sleep overall.
The pool and hot tub were really nice. Nice view from the balcony. The apartment was pretty good size for 3 people.
