This was the best spot we could’ve picked for our first bed and breakfast experience. We’d never done the B&B thing before, and now we’ve got a new favorite to add to our list. Already told my parents it’s the best place to stay in Beaufort. Everything’s within walking distance—restaurants, shops, the ferry. The place was super well maintained. I wanted to do something special for my girlfriend, and they had a cheese board, wine, and flowers waiting in the room. They also had a nice wine selection on site. Breakfast was amazing—definitely didn’t leave hungry. Coffee was always available, plus a great variety of teas. The staff gave great recommendations on what to check out around town. It had this peaceful, tucked-away feel but was still just minutes from downtown. Overall, just a really relaxing and memorable stay.

Large room and bathroom, spotlessly clean with comfortable bed and great pillow. Breakfast was delicious and host friendly. Great location with restaurants right across the street, everything in walking distance.

It was hard to come up with something we didn’t like, but being picky, we would have liked different bed pillows…there were plenty (4), but all the same…even with just the two of us, we differ in terms of the kind of pillows we like and their different support.

Breakfasts were EXCEPTIONAL ! Each breakfast was very different, tasted great, and very complete…coffee, juices, fruit, etc.etc.etc. Gardens were very nice, lot of outdoor sitting options, location-only a block off the waterfront, bathroom-deep soaking tub, open shower, etc. Stan (owner/host) was GREAT…friendly, engaging, helpful with restaurant recommendations…

The location was perfect. We had reserved parking during a busy time at Beaufort and could walk from there. The breakfast was top notch. I loved sitting in the garden with the water and birds and reading my book.

Pecan Tree was so homey and beautiful and comfortable. We loved sitting on the porch, having tea, walking through the gardens, the proximity to all the food and shops, and the amazing breakfast!

That we couldn’t stay longer. That I didn’t have a light sleeping bag to stay outside in their lovely gardens. That my entire family wasn’t with me to enjoy this extraordinary hospitality.

Perfect location right across from two fine restaurants and within walking distance of every Beaufort attraction. The innkeeper couple was cordial and knowledgeable of the area and historic home we enjoyed. They were friendly but not intrusive. The home was tastefully decorated with conversation pieces. Although the dining area was very pleasant, we took our breakfast meals on the wrap around porch. We were stunned by the friendliness of the local residents who would greet us as they strolled by and often strike up a brief, pleasant conversation. The breakfast was as fine as one would expect in the best restaurant. Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA have their charms, but Beaufort, NC is the friendliest place and the Pecan Tree Inn the best accommodation we have ever experienced.

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like about this B&B!

This B&B was wonderful! Loved the spacious room and bathroom which were very clean, good food, friendly owners and staff. Enjoyed relaxing while rocking in the rocking chairs outside room and listening to the fountain at the Coy fish pond and watching the birds and squirrels at the bird feeder.

Everything was wonderful, and there was nothing I disliked. But if I had to mention one thing that would have turned it from excellent to perfect it would have been for the owners to be a little more warmly welcoming.

Loved everything, but the breakfast was the best part. Hands down!

Would have liked a mini fridge in the room but they had a guest fridge that was available for anyone to use.

The breakfast was excellent! The grounds were nicely landscaped and very relaxing.
