Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesRoom not dark enough at night(room 407). Bright light from hallway coming through blinds. Room darkening shades would've been great.
They only had coffee and cupcakes. We went out for breakfast. Eggcellent cafe three minute walk from hotel. Highly recommend!

United StatesThe staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. The wood floor with area rug along with the furniture and walls supplied us with a lovely vintage atmosphere. The fitness room was left open and available, which was a nice change from most hotels that put multiple restrictions on the use of their facilities. Coffee and muffins were supplied each morning providing a nice pick-me-up on the way out of the hotel each day.

United StatesWe were in room 406 and the plumbing in the bathroom was funky. Eg the shower: rotate handle, off > Hot > cold. The reverse of what you’d expect! Loud conversations from the roof were a distraction.
Friendly, & clean

SwitzerlandDepending on where your room is, you might have some noise from the highway. I asked to change rooms, as it was too noisy for me and I needed to work. When facing the inner courtyard, it was quiet.
I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was super kind and accommodating. Very charming and large rooms. Also great that they have a gym.

United StatesWe chose to eat at the restaurant because of the coupon that we were given at check-in. Unfortunately, we forgot to hand it to the wait staff when we were paying the bill. Perhaps this could have somehow been automatic if they knew that we were staying at the hotel.
The morning coffee and muffin was a nice bonus in the morning. The restaurant was excellent. We were given a promotion of 25% off at the restaurant and forgot to hand it to the wait staff when we were paying our bill : ( but the happy hour was outstanding.

It was a beautiful, old fashion hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and the room was nice and cozy. I stayed here when going to the Critical Role show at the Freedom Morgan Pavillion in Camden and the hotel was located not too far.

United StatesThe Penn's View Inn is our go-to hotel for our weekend getaways in Philadelphia. We love the Old World style and atmosphere in the hotel and the location in Old City is great for us. The staff is always exceedingly friendly and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed happy hour and dinner for the first time in the Panorama hotel restaurant, taking advantage of a generous 25% discount offered by the hotel. It was a very pleasant evening. The hotel no longer offers breakfast as they used to in years past, but they do put out coffee and muffins for guests in the lobby each morning. Highly recommend Penn's View Inn.

United StatesNot a thing. My stay was amazing.
I loved how the hotel room was an actual bedroom style. The room was very different in such a good way. They even had an actual key to get into your room. Never seen a hotel that did that. Staff was very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and nice.

United StatesThis is an older hotel. You feel you are in the 1940's (in a good way) Our room was beautiful with hardwood floors and real room keys(not the credit card type). Staff was wonderful. Will come back in the Spring. We were there in January when it was cold. Within walking distance to museums and the Liberty Bell.
