We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesDiscovered the apartment was infested with bugs after staying the night. We woke up in the morning with bugs everywhere. We waited until a little in the afternoon to call the property. When we called the host was rude and refused to refund us our money. Only told us since we already slept there we would have to pay for the night regardless of our experience. Would not recommend to anyone, horrible customer service and lack of cleanliness.

There are big stains on the couch, furniture is broken. The bed is outdated. toilet is not looking great. also, I had used napkins under my bed. we left after the first night because it was an exetremely disgusting place

United StatesIt is a one bedroom place for two people. The pull out is tiny and functioned in name only. As a family of five, we would have had 3 kids on the floor. Thankfully Maurizio was helpful and got us mattresses from the office and his own personal one.
Maurizio was great. Helped us find additional mattresses for the kids. Tried to accommodate for the difference between what we thought we were getting and the actual facility itself.
