Just a bit rural.

I was in town for work and had to travel through most of the state of Missouri. I stayed one night at this bed-and-breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the room was and how courteous the owner was. She made me the best homemade breakfast accompanied by fantastic conversation the next morning. I highly recommend this BNB if you are in the area.

We LIKED everything!!

Our 3-night stay was wonderful! The room was perfect in every way! Comfortable bed, double shower, jacuzzi, access to a hot tub and the breakfast was lovely each morning. The owner and her family are so welcoming and helpful. Parking was great, and our host had many great recommendations for places to eat and to explore. In all, we were so pleased with our stay at Plain and Fancy and hope to come back in the near future!

The owners are wonderful and have an outstanding family. I was very happy with the room, all the amenities. The time spent talking with Rachael and Steve was an absolute joy. Rachael also made us an excellent breakfast! I will definitely be back and will bring the family with me. I would highly recommend this bed & breakfast!

Honestly can't think of anything that wasn't great for our stay...

The place was just as we imagined for our first B&B stay...The owners (Rachel & Steve) were extremely nice, inviting & very personable...We had some great talks in the common area...The house was clean and maintained very well for an over 100 year old house...We will be going back to Plain & Fancy for years to come...

We enjoyed everything about the B&B. Rachel is a wonderful host. She gives information about what is available for sites and dining. Sitting outside in the evening overlooking the creek was a perfect end to the day. Her breakfast was delicious. Love her decorating style.

If you like adult pampering, a quiet couples getaway, super clean room and a tasty breakfast this is your place! We stayed in the Butterfly room. A very charming place. There is more to say but I will save the surprises ;)

The breakfast was great! Served hot and fresh from the kitchen. Dutch Baby Pancakes were to die for along with sausage links, fruit, juice and coffee.
