Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandIt is in a great location - so close to Times Square and a major underground station so it is very easy to get around NY if you are sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful with swapping our room when the light stopped working in our room.

United KingdomA couple of reception staff were slightly rude at times. The lady who works behind bar was extremely rude and very poor attitude. We thought it was just towards the three of us until other customers we got talking to about our New York trip, stated the same. We had already made a complaint, not sure if she was made aware as on our last night when we called in for one drink she was much better
Location great … for what we payed was fantastic

CanadaHotel has 2 separate elevators systems to reach the rooms, one from the street to the lobby, and another from there to the rooms. It is cumbersome and often very crowded.
We had a double room with 2 beds. It was set up as bunk beds given how tiny the room was. Nonetheless, it was all very confortable, even had a desk and chair, 2 tvs (one for each bed), and a super clean and modern bathroom. We felt a bit as in Japan, given the cleanness and smallness of it all.

United KingdomThe only downside was something the hotel can't really help, which is that 42nd Street is a mess! There was a lot of construction and scaffolding, and it's a big, busy street, quite dirty and downmarket. A shame, as even just one block up is much nicer, and there are plenty of nice cafes etc nearby. But they can't really help that. It was safe enough, and central, so we didn't mind.
We really enjoyed staying here - not least because the air-con was great, very useful as the weather was really hot. The staff were super-friendly and helpful and gave advice on New York, airport travel and a local bar where we could watch the football. They also have a secure luggage store, so we could safely leave our bags between check out and heading for the airport. The room was small as expected (the photo on the website was accurate), but clean and light with a great view, and well-designed to make the most of the space. It was also very quiet, despite the noise outside. Everything worked fine, and when my bedside light broke, they fixed it the same day. We liked the onsite gym and bar, the late checkout (midday) and having somewhere comfortable to wait before we left for the airport. It's also near a subway station (one block along), which we used every day. As it was the second cheapest hotel I could find (in a reasonable location), it was very good value for money.

the location is excellent Shantal and David at the reception were fantastic and very helpful I had a medication that should be kept in the fridge, but unfortunately, there was no fridge in the room I had to give my injection in the manager's fridge, but when I came to take it back, it was not cold everything is excellent location bed wifi staff everything you need is around your hotel 2 min walking distance if you like big rooms, don't go there for me, comparing the superb location and price, I was more than happy, and I will stay there again and again

United StatesIt felt a little crowded for two people.
The location is great, just a short walk from the metro and Times Square. The rooms are on a high floor which offers a great view. The room is small but the bathroom is big enough. Plenty of cute places near by to have breakfast.

South AfricaIt would have been nice to have access to some complimentary water in the room or for there to be a publicly accessible water fountain with cold water, especially during the heat of summer.
I had stayed here previously and liked the value for money, proximity to eateries, and especially Times Square. I felt safe and privacy respected. I enjoyed seeing a wide range of people coming from all over.

CanadaThe rooms are not spacious but we knew that beforehand, so...not complaining. The TV channels were disappointing as we could only watch 1 channel. We tried different ways to access other channels and it was not possible. We would have enjoyed having some more storage options. We would have appreciated having more breakfast options inside the hotel.
The location was perfect for us. The staff was amiable and helpful. It was very clean and it felt safe inside. The access to amenities and public transport from the hotel was excellent.
