We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesIt is part of the deal so no bother to us....three of the rooms shared a bathroom, one other room had its own bathroom. Everyone shared kitchen facilities and sitting rooms.
Price/value was very good. Owner was very responsive, professional and friendly to our requests.

United StatesI didn’t like how rude the first guest were when we were arriving but overall that was the only downfall.
My partner and I loved the home. We were anxious of how it would feel sharing a home with strangers but the owner reassured us. We enjoyed the privacy, cleanliness, and reassurance from the owners.

United StatesThere are no refunds, Booked a room with a private bath the host calls back and tells me the room is not available. I was in a pinch, so I had to stay. Got interviewed before I was able to stay at the place. They advertise a lower price $89/night then they charge a $67 cleaning fee. The room was small, no TV. There is a small TV in the living room as soon as you walk in, but thats it. You have a shared fridge where you have to put stickers (they provide) on all your stuff. I leave for the job I was working at for 6am. My random roommate stayed in the shower for 45 min, so I couldn't shower before work. Definitely not an enjoyable stay. Oh, and this place is definitely in a shady neighborhood. Definitely lock your doors.
Nothing really positive to say about this place. Didn't like anything.

United StatesThis is not a vacation spot. This should be listed on craigslist at best as a halfway house. Multiple rules, interrogation process at beginning. LONG LIST OF RULES BY THE FRONT DOOR FOR ADULTS LOL.. You can be canceled if your a local (100 mile radius). WE PAID FOR A QUEEN SUITE, WE HAD A FULL BED ON A COT SPRING BASE, NO T.V IN THE ROOM, VERY HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE. PRIVATE BATHROOM HAS A DOOR TO NEXT ROOM IN IT- NO PRIVACY AND PAID EXTRA FOR IT. Air is set at 75 and thermostat is in a lock box. Yard company comes at 7:00 A.M. Multiple rooms, flop house, NO PRIVACY. One little T.V in the living room for 4 or 5 separate rooms with a broken couch to sit on. Very few dishes, cups, pans, & utensils available. I heated a piece of pizza in the oven and the smoke detector went off. Oven must need to be cleaned. ALSO DONT FORGET TO WRITE YOUR NAME ON YOUR FOOD IN THE FRIDGE (per rule #18 lol). Our room was 78° at best. I stayed 7 nights (actually left early-paid for 8 nights), no cleaning crew (charged cleaning fee), garbage was overflowing from other tenants in kitchen when I got back from work. Laundry was consistently being done at all hours with dryer buzzer going off at 3:00 A.M multiple nights. VERY TIGHT SPOT WITH NO PRIVACY.. As a note, we are very laid back and don't usually complain at all but this spot is NOT for families, vacations or any type of get away. They consider 8 nights "short term" and charge almost the same as a hotel weekly for none of the amenities a hotel has. It's worth spending the extra $100 +/- a week for a hotel/motel. If you do not have a vehicle (We did), this location is NOT within walking distance to ANYTHING (rough neighborhood at best), Public transit stops are not close either. Wish there was an honest review before I booked. My wife was over it on night #2. This site only allows 4 photos unfortunately, wish I could help with more..
The place was somewhat clean. The counter tops in the kitchen and room were cleanish... The floors were definitely NOT CLEAN....
