Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWilliams is a perfect place to go to Grand Canyon. We liked the old-fashioned interior and the pictures. And we slept well, the beds were super ,only that there was a kind of generator outside the window that was a bit noisy half of the night. That we had a kitchen was really great and we appreciated that a lot!! Also that it was provided with a real good coffee.

United StatesComfort of a bed is subject to the personal preference of the guest. We love a soft to semi soft bed and the bed in our room (the Madams room) was super hard.
Overall our stay at the Red Garter Inn was great. The location is fantastic and we really liked the decor and restoration done on the place. It was clean and friendly. Checking in and getting to our room was easy. We really want to remind people that this is a turn of the Century building that has been lovingly restored and is fabulously decorated. But it is on the second floor and the tall steep stairs are no joke. Although there is no way for the property to have done anything about it we just want people to realize. Overall it was a very peaceful and enjoyable stay we will stay here again if we are in the area.

The history of the inn, an old first-class bordello, gives the place a unique feel. Our room was large with 2 comfy queen beds. Controllable air con, very quiet or overhead fan to keep room cool. Very clean. Spacious bathroom with plenty of towels. Clean shared kitchen with fridge/freezer, tea and coffee.

United KingdomNothing I didn't like about the place!
Loved the quirky character of the building and its history. So much more interesting than staying in a hotel or motel. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was big and the water pressure in the shower was better than most other places I've stayed. It's right in the heart of Williams too.

United KingdomThe history of the property and the location are just brilliant. Our room was number 4, lovely and clean, spacious and with modern amenities but steeped in original history. The self check-in and check out was really smooth and easy. I’d definitely recommend this place to anybody visiting Williams.

United StatesIt’s hard to drag your luggage up the steep stairs, but that is to be expected in a building like that that.
Very unique! Interesting to think about all the crazy historical things that have gone on in that building. The best part of this hotel is the town of Williams! if you go, you have to visit the Canyon club bar- full of local characters!

New ZealandNothing comes to mind
Location and price were the key factors for us; we visited to the Grand Canyon early the next day. that said, we loved the style of the Hotel, which fitted well in this Arizona town. An experience we will never forget. We arrived late, so we were grateful for the clear instructions to get into our room, which was nice and warm.

The spirit of this place is one of a kind: i lived my Western dream. Located close to all in Williams, bathroom is tiny but enough, sink in the room. Steep staircase upon entry, creaking floors, authentic decor. Bed is on the smaller size, but hey, that was the standard back then, i guess. Complimentary coffee and tea in kitchenette used by all rooms and a fridge. Would have been great to be able to use the laundry machines, but they were strictly for Staff only.

United StatesSomeone with extreme mobility issues probably couldn't make the stairs up to the rooms. I have problems but the stairs were fine for me.
Wonderful historic building with good accuracy. It was fun and nostalgic. Our room was furnished in period decor but that didn't distract from the comfort. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. Each room has individual climate control and a ceiling fan. Everything was spotless and I'm glad we got a room with a shower and no tub. That is the safest for me. We actually booked two rooms and it was fun to see our son's room too. There is a room with a fridge and maybe a microwave we could utilize. We enjoyed the ice maker too.The location is wonderful - Right in the middle of the fun shops and restaurants. You'll be right next to the train depot where you can ride to the grand Canyon. Book the train ahead. Sorry, we didn't see the ghost.

United StatesNot a reflection on the Inn, just guests that don't follow instructions. My husband had to get up and turn the hall lights off. Would not recommend families stay unless children are well behaved.
It was really quiet ( unless small children were allowed to run un and down the hall). The train didn't cause any issues.
