Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI did not like that every one in our room had to go to breakfast at the same time. Very unfair since we have different sleep patterns. This may prevent me from booking this hotel again.
Breakfast was good and many options available

GermanyThe hotel's location was excellent. Just above Times Square, you can quickly reach Central Park and, at the same time, you're close to 42nd Street, which provides easy access to all subway connections. Perfect! The breakfast was also very good and with continental style. This is perfect for Europeans.

United StatesWe had a wonderful stay at the Riu Plaza New York! The location is perfect – right in the heart of Manhattan, just a short walk from Times Square, Broadway, shops, restaurants, and everything you need to enjoy the city to the fullest. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and always happy to help with a smile. Breakfast exceeded our expectations – a wide variety of fresh options including hot dishes, pastries, fruits, and beverages. Both the kids and adults enjoyed it every single morning. The hotel was quiet, well-organized, and gave us a sense of safety and comfort throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality New York experience at a fair price for the value and location. We’d love to come back!

United StatesOur teenage daughter didn’t have a great place to sleep on the sofa bed, so just better sleeping for a family of 5.
The staff was very professional-polite and helpful. The location of the room was quiet and the location of the hotel itself was perfect being so close to Times Square and the subway. The convenience of not having to find a place for breakfast was perfect, as well as the variety of options-something for everyone. Although the breakfast area was crowded it still was operated so effectively we never had to wait.

United StatesThe location is great, so convenient for theaters, dining, and subway to go anywhere else you want to go. The rooms are small, like most NYC hotels, but very well designed to make it comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very good and adds a nice value and convenience to the stay.

United StatesUnfortunately, my (minor) daughter was sick the morning of checkout. It was difficult to get "special permission" to take a basic piece of toast from the buffet breakfast to settle her stomach. We needed every minute of our hotel room, leading up to check out. Despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door, we were "disturbed" by hotel staff several times leading up to our departure. When we finally reached the lobby, it was very busy and as fate would have it, my daughter was unable to make it to a bathroom. It was difficult to get assistance, needed a key to get into the bathroom, and needless to say checkout did not go smoothly. Rightly so, I wanted to tip Julian on my way out, but unfortunately never saw him again.
At check in, they upgraded our room at no additional charge. Julian, our bellhop, was an AMAZING help and VERY ATTENTIVE to our needs. LOCATION was great for Broadway Shows and Times Square. The breakfast food was well stocked, lots of variety, and delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

United StatesConfusing. Two hotels with same name. When I booked, the listing showed photos of Riu Plaza Manhattan. When I arrive to the hotel with my 98 year old mom & folding wheelchair & cruise luggage for next day boarding. I was told to walk just a few blocks to the Riu Plaza Times Square!!!! Hotel too busy with tourists. Has no room service. And no healthy alternative restaurant nearby.
Location for our need to board cruise at pier 88. Also appreciate the convenience and efficiency of a good buffet breakfast on site.
