Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaTrain goes by often and several times throughout the night, but they do provide the room with earplugs.
Great hotel for the price! Close to walk to an event at the First Interstate Performing Arts Center, so we didn't have to pay for parking. Also had a nice breakfast included at a nearby hotel.

United StatesIts helpful to understand that the location is also near an underpass where unhoused people are living. The night we stayed there was a lot of rowdy behavior happening in the underpass that was pretty loud. Earplugs were provided however, and the front desk staff was really cool. The floor lacks insulation so its really cold, consider bringing slippers.
Its right next to the Steam Plant restaurant which is really something special. The front desk women were upbeat and helpful. They did a great job of keeping the steep driveway clear during the snowstorm. The beds were comfortable and the freezer actually froze my ice block, unlike some hotel fridges. It a short walk to the mall downtown and a good value for the price in my opinion.

CanadaThere were a lot of vagrants around the area, and they told me they lock the lower parking lot overnight for safety. So I moved my car from right in front of my room, to the lower parking lot for the night. However, when I took my older dog out in the middle of the night and again first thing in the morning, both times the electric gate was wide open! I was out there for about 10 mins each time, going up and down the block with my dog, and no one was even coming or going the whole time. Just wide open. I will say, the other two nights the gate was always closed when I took my dog out, but regardless, I felt it was safer to just park it in front of my room at that point. Also, the large king sized bed in my room definitely had some wear on both sides. Luckily it was just me and my dog so I could sleep in the very middle of the bed, but it dropped by like a couple of inches at the edge of the bed on either side and would have been impossible to sleep on if I was with someone. Overall, I would say this hotels general upkeep does not feel like a priority, and the design in the rooms is very dated, like late 90’s - early 00’s Fred Meyer.
The location was central downtown, which made it a convenient home base while in Spokane.

AustraliaArriving at hotel after notifying them of late arrival 11pm only to be told by security I had to walk a couple of blocks to check it at another hotel and then return. Thankfully my taxi driver helped me to do all this while the meter was still running. Not sure what I would have done with my luggage if it wasn’t for the taxi driver. A message to me would have been easy especially after I had already noted late arrival.

CanadaNo mention of the trains running all day and night. There’s ear plugs provided but hardly helped. Was awake multiple times during the night. I know it’s not the hotel’s fault per se, but there’s no mention of it. It’s very apparent when you stay there. No exaggeration, all day and night.

United Statesthe area is a little rough, but nothing happened to our car or us. parking was $5/night. there was no recycling-even in the breakfast room. BTW, the breakfast was all carbs, but it suited our needs.
the location is convenient, but i didn't feel comfortable leaving my car there. however, there are cameras covering the parking lot and we parked our car right in front of a camera. the a/c worked well. there was a fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee/tea station. there is also an ice machine and a very small exercise room (that had some stationary bikes and free weights).

Canadahaving a $75 for incidentals charged to me on my credit card - I understand the concept and need - but when I grabbed a 20 oz bottle of water and a 12 oz bottle of apple juice and tried paying for it - no prices were listed on any items - I was told that it would be applied to the incidentals - I did not receive an invoice of any kind when I checked out - when I looked at my credit card bill, I discovered that it cost just under $25 US - that is freaking ridicuous - had I known that they were this expensive, I most certainly would not have bothered - I would have purchased it elsewhere for $5. lesson learned the hard way
the location was good - easy access and close to the venue I was headed for, room was clean and comfortable
