There was nothing we did not like.

It was the coziest and most comfortable inn I have ever stayed at. And more, Jean and George, the two owers, made it a home away from home.- warmhearted and caring, with very interesting conversations. The breakfast was outstanding, as well. (Best pancakes ever).

I selected the Silver Shell Inn for a couple of days to getaway to have quiet time and to write my Christmas card at night. The Silver Shell Inn decor is exquisite. I stayed in the Garden Room and I felt like I was a princess in an England, while feeling so much at home at the same time. The room had a refrigerator, fresh water, full bath, and many options for seating including a desk for card writing. Jean was very accommodating the breakfast that she prepared and plated was delicious and exceeded expectations it should be in a cooking magazine (wish I took pictures). I am located 30 miles from Marion the area visited this area as a getaway to write my cards and explore Marion it is a quaint New England town. The property is beautiful it is about 2 miles into town, a nice safe walk, you can explore the area local eateries, and resturaunts. I was able to sit and enjoy the sunporch. The location is perfect if you are local or want to come to explore this wonderful area, it would be a great location to visit all the nearby attractions if you want to explore the area and surrounding areas driving to the Cape, or Boston. George and Jean are excellent host offering great suggestions for my stay. As you read you can see the Silver Shell Inn greatly exceeded my expectations, I was blessed to find this quaint location for my getaway and highly recommend it as a stay. Looking for reasons to go back to experience it during another season.

Absolutely nothing. It was impeccable and anyone who didn’t like it must not appreciate the full experience of staying at an actual inn run be real inn keepers.

It was clean & very charming. Loved all the personal details that welcomed you as you entered the door. Also, very quiet and restful.

Not a complaint, but at breakfast, even when done well, American bacon cannot compare to British bacon, but George appreciated that!

I was in the large loft room ( would be great for families) but note the stairs are steep and if you are tall there are beams. Not a problem at all for me .

So much charm , attention to detail , very clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast, warm welcoming hosts.

The Silvershell Inn was a perfect place to overnight on our return from Martha’s Vineyard. The incredible decor, chock full of antiques, beautiful plants and family photos, was charming and beautiful. Jean and George were kind and funny, attentive and generous with their deep local knowledge. They clearly love Marion, and it was on their recommendation that we took some extra time to tour its historic town center. We highly recommend this stay!

    Nothing to add...just all good.

The hosts were very kind and welcoming and the house and furnishings were just like from Homes and Country; very relaxing and comfortable and very clean! The breakfast included a delicious fruit salad, yogurt and granola and cooked breakfast which set us up for the day. The best air b & b we have stayed in the U.S. The location was also perfect for exploring the Cape area by car which was another bonus. Thank you again George and Jean for a wonderful 4 night stay..

It is half a mile to the interstate. Trucks could be heard by people with the ears of a bobcat. Thats not a real critisism. Only a remark. We had fine and calm nights.

All excellent and brilliant maintained by fantastic hosts, Jean and George! Overwhelming decorated and equipped almost like a charming museum. Breakfast was excellent and served as individually selected and from finest quality. Interaction with the hosts and other guests were a delightful detail and well appreciated by us. Lovely garden and orchard around the historic house. Lots of restaurants in the near surrounding and a good location to explore the south east of Massachusetts. Stringent recommendation to be a guest in Jean`s and George`s house !

The only drawback were the stairs to the rooms. Happy that we can still handle stairs and as long as that isn't a problem, this Inn is a treasure trove of NewEngland history and charm.

The Colonial style of the house appealed to us and we were not disappointed. The rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated with family antiques and portraits. I fell in love with each room that I walked into and wished that I our stay was much longer than planned. We were given the Marion Family Suite which was on the third floor. It was more room than we needed, but we loved every inch of it. The owners exuded warmth and friendliness, and eagerly shared their family history with us. In the morning they served us a breakfast "made to order"consisting of an abundant serving of freshly cut fruit, followed by eggs to order, bacon or sausage, toast or muffins, a choice of juices, coffee or tea. All prepared by George and his lovely wife. We also love that it's near the water and located in the Historic town of Marion. This Inn is a true gem if you want to trully relax and maybe explore the area, and then return to the cozy comfort of Silvershell Inn and their lovely sunporch or outside patio.
