The hotel is a bit old, and the mattress needs to be replaced. They have paid parking, but they don't inform you about it when you book. You only find out at the property that you have to pay for parking.

The staff was exceptionally rude. An eastern European lady was working the front desk. She made racist remarks about Americans, accused me of being a liar, questioned the validity of my disability as well as my service dog. I will never go back.

That not even once cleaned up the room , we stayed 4 nights . I had to ask them to take out the trash and there weren’t enough cups for the coffee and cream and sugar . Had to ask for more and more coffee too . Otherwise it would be perfect ! 🙌 thank you .

I didn’t like that the Sonesta select Laguna Hills Irvine spectrum hotel does not have designated pet rooms. I requested a room that was not for pets however, that was not possible, and I was not told that every room allows pets. The animals are not confined to a specific floor. I also did not like the fact that housekeeping only comes to clean the room once a week. If you want your bed made or normal housekeeping duties done it will cost $75. Also, if you need towels, washcloths, toilet paper, you do have to ask for those as well as having your trash taken out. The furniture in the room I was in was dirty. I did not sit on it. This hotel could use some renovation or upgrades to the rooms.

I liked how this property was located close enough to restaurants and grocery stores. I like that I could connect my Netflix to the TV in the room.

the young lady at check in was the only staff for both check in and the breakfast area. she did it well but, you need to add additional staff to assist.

I get the appeal of the pump bottles for shower gel, shampoo, conditioner - less waste, less plastic, all good things. But, all three smelled bad. Maybe no one used the product in a really long time? I'm glad I had my own with me.

Everything, except one thing, was great. The room was comfortable, clean and well designed. Rooms are very well sound insulated. Despite being very close to I-5, I couldn't hear it. Access to the highway is super convenient. The breakfast counter server was so sweet, polite, and helpful. I was impressed with the front desk, they were professional and efficient. They got me checked in and checked out super quick. The whole property is very well maintained. I will stay at this hotel the next time I visit the area.
