Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNo daily housekeeping which was advertised as included on Booking.com. Housekeeping is only every other day so they need to update the description. No sheer curtains in our room, little privacy, gaps in blinds so sun comes in.
Location, quirky theme, free drinks at the restaurant downstairs, historic building, coffee and tea. Staff were nice. Restaurant downstairs is really good, great coffee. Very popular though so best to make a reservation.

United StatesSome of the furnishings have seen better days, which is a bit out of line with the hotel rate. Also, the double beds are smaller than a full bed. It was manageable for two nights because my husband and I are small, but if you're taller you may not be comfortable sharing the double bed.
The best thing about this hotel are the location, so close to the L and the waterfront, and the very friendly staff. The cute pineapple theme and the complimentary drink and water are a plus.

United StatesThe furniture in the room was a little tired, but the beds were very comfortable.
The location was perfect! It's a block from the blue line, which we took from O'Hare, and mere blocks from Millenium Park, the Art Institute, the Chicago Cultural Center, etc. The historic building was charming and the rooms had huge windows with amazing views. We also enjoyed the thoughtful extras like a welcome drink, coffee and cookies in the afternoon, and we even got a birthday treat! The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy-going.

United StatesAbsolutely rot-gut keurig coffee. Undrinkable. And restaurant does not open early. Walked to 24-hour Dunkin Donuts in the dark cold.
A real value for the location if you have a dog. No doorman or bell hops, so getting luggage in the door and to your room is a bit hard. It is an important historic building. Renovated, not completely gutted, so doesn't sparkle like a 5 star, but clean and comfortable. Big windows.

SpainNot convinced about the 2 quilts. We like to snuggle but got too hot 🔥🥵 The second room we had was quite narrow and we both caught our knees on the edge of the bed.
We had a really welcoming reception from Cassandra Marshay after a very long journey. It is a really nice experience to be greeted by a warm and friendly smile. Thank you Cassandra. From Mr and Mrs Gray from Spain x The water bottle is a fantastic idea and as we stayed twice we got two!

GermanyThe hotel was advertised with parking possibilities, which was not the case. There was only a valet service. Hotel restaurant and bar were fully packed and we had to find some other place for dinner.
Very friendly staff all throughout. The water bar in the lobby was great. Welcome drinks were really nice.

IrelandI can't think of anything I didn't like!
Location! Staff! Room! Vibe! Sorry, I'll stop with the exclamation marks now. Seriously, this place is a gem. It's really close to two subway/CTA stations, it's in the heart of downtown Chicago, the staff were just lovely, and the whole atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I loved all the little touches that made the stay a little bit extra; the free reusable water bottle, the water station in the lobby, Dash, the Pineapples Pup, the individual duvets etc. I would recommend Staypineapple to anyone. On a side note, as a solo traveller, I felt very safe in this hotel.

United StatesWould’ve liked a top floor room for the view.
We had a room on the third floor and the view wasn’t great, but the room was fine, great shower, a fridge. Breakfast was excellent (paid for separately). The location is incredible, close to everything.

IcelandThe restaurant was a little expansive but very nice staff and good food. The lighting in the room could have been a little better, we only had the night lights in the main area in our room. The shower was a little powerless took forever to wash my hair.
The staff was incredably nice and helpful, the room was very nice it had everything we needed and more. The Bed was the best !! It was so comfortable ,made me wanna cuddle in bed all day. The location was superb, we were in walking distance of almost everything and it was not to busy.

CanadaStay Pineapple was right across the street from the entrance to the Blue line train that goes out to Ohare airport. Easy to get to and then you are in the heart of the loop. It's a beautiful old building and we were greeted well and given a complementary drink in the nice bar/restaurant downstairs as well as a cookie; pineapple of course!!
