Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNo frig or microwave in the unit. Also, some cobwebs but had that taken care of. Otherwise nice view and nice warm unit.
The ski area itself was fun to ski. Had a variety of runs. And the restaurants were top-notch. Great restaurants all in one place/area. And stores as well as photos of Redford and by-gone times.

United StatesThe Harvest festival was going on when we arrived. It was difficult to get in to check in - although staff was very helpful in getting us through the parking lot and to check in desk.
This resort is gorgeous! Our suite was incredible, very peaceful! The Owl Bar and The Tree Room restaurant are wonderful!

United StatesI can't think of a single thing I didn't like!
From the moment I arrived until the time I left everything was absolutely wonderful. The greeting (and the fragrant scent) in the lobby was warm and welcoming; my room was cozy and quiet and I had a beautiful, wintery view and it was central to everything the resort had to offer; the spa was heaven; the food and drinks were delicious; I enjoyed walking the property and checking out the Art Studio and the General Store; and saw some exceptional talent in the movies I had seen. I really had a wonderful time at Sundance Mountain Resort for the Sundance Film Festival. It truly is a very special place and I'll treasure my time there!

United StatesThere was a lot of construction this summer as the resort has been bought up by a private equity firm who has chosen to prioritize density. What that looks like is cutting down old growth trees to build 6 townhomes and a 63 room inn. My yoga class was in a yurt next to where they were chainsawing the trees into pieces and running bulldozers. We had to stop early due to the noise. I wish I'd visited Sundance back in the day, I could feel what that might have felt like but based on what I saw I won't be back to ski or stay in the future. Food was average. We had to eat in the deli far more than I wanted due to scheduling and few lunch options. The mountain bun was the only decent pastry/sandwich/flatbread/salad that we ate. Foundry grill dinner was meh.
The rooms were gorgeous, the property well maintained. The new pool was lovely and largely the staff was super helpful and professional. I liked the perfume class and my family enjoyed the zipline.

United StatesWe knew the Tree Room was a big splurge for us. But to be seated in a mostly empty dining room (that never filled up) in a tiny 2 top right next to a large party felt, well, dismissive. There was a really bright light shining right in my eyes. Despite staff waiting on others we were ignored for what seemed like 10 min. No water, no drink order, no glance. I flagged someone down and asked to change tables, moved to a 4 top and even then saw those seated later getting brisk service. After that, our waitress was great. Room is TINY even by NYC standards, could barely walk around the bed. Door gapped, was VERY hard to lock/unlock and drafty. The heat is old style electric fan that goes on and off. Not great for the high price of a room, so we were glad we only chose one night. Not even a chair to sit in, (no room).
I liked the beautiful location, although I was surprised at least some dining rooms weren't set up to view the main mountains. The actual meal in the tree room, while pricey, was excellent. The breakfast the next day was also very good. I enjoyed walking the hallways and viewing the pictures. We were there at (I believe) a slow time, so that was nice. All the staff we encountered was very nice (one exception below). The whole ambiance of a resort started by Redford is pretty cool, even tho the Tree Room and halls felt like a shrine to him, we found it interesting.
