United StatesThe main thing I didn't like was that it was pretty noisy all throughout the night even with only a few other people staying. It's not really the hotel's fault and pretty much what you expect staying at a budget hotel but it definitely could have been better.
The location and the price were the main things I liked. It's located right at the intersection of US 24 and I-55 or Illinois old rt. 66 which runs right along I-55 if you want to avoid the interstate. There is a McDonald's and a shell gas station right next door as well.

United StatesWe reserved one room for two nights and another room for one night for family. We traveled 6 hours for a wedding. We arrived to check in and were greeted by a child of about 6 or 7 years old who asked us to wait and he yelled for who I assume was his father. The lobby smelled of curry so bad It was nauseating. We thought maybe it was just the lobby because it appeared that the staff lives there and maybe they were cooking. We proceeded to unload the car and enter our room which also smelled of curry, but not as bad as the lobby. We just threw our bags in the room and left to eat but once we got in the car, before we even left the parking lot, we decided we were unable to stay in the hotel, I could smell the curry on my clothes. We were only in the hotel for 15 min at the most, long enough to check in and carry our bags in and my clothes smelled so bad I needed to change. I hung my dress up in the room for no longer than 15 min and it still reeked of curry the following day so much so I had to buy another dress for the wedding. The gentleman at the desk was very kind when we told him we would like to cancel our reservations. We did not state it was due to the smell out of respect and just said we were not happy with the accommodations. We were charged for both rooms. I understand the there is a cancellation policy but we arrived expecting to stay two nights in one room and one night for family but the odor was so bad we could not stay. We then had to travel another 30 min to find other accommodations Our cancellation was due to the odor which was not our fault. I would not expect a hotel to have such a STRONG and unbearable odor. There was no way to forsee the need to cancel until we arrived. I dont think we should have to pay for these rooms just because I "agreed" to the cancellation policy. I agreed to the cancellation policy with the expectation I would be able to stay there. How would I know 24 hours in advance the hotel had such an odor?

United StatesI arrived and no one was at the desk, no big deal, then someone came to the desk and could not find my reservation, I have the booking app and had my confirmation number in hand ... electric heaters were plugged in the hall (Dec.) the room was freezing when I walked in and took about an hour to heat up. There was no hot water, lukewarm at best (both sink and shower). And the breakfast was minimal, if you are looking to cheap out this is the place for you. I would not recommend this property unless you are on a shoe string budget.
I hate leaving bad reviews as I really try and see the good everywhere where I stay. To sum it up, the hotel is a cheap place to stay off the side of the highway, no more no less. To be honest the selection of TV channels was nice, and the room had nice decor, paint, and general appearance. The cost was very low, hence the title of my review.

United Statesthe bathtub didn't have a plug so I couldn't take a bath (main reason I wanted a bathtub) and the deadbolt didn't work on the room as it didn't line up with the hole in the jamb...only had the chain for security. The staff was nowhere around when we went to check out to let them know the problems...
