Felt ripped off from the moment I checked in. There was communication pre arrival and I let them know I had a dog (in training) in my notes. They sent a confirmation (they knew I had a dog) and provided me a total. I thought I was all set but when I arrived front desk said there was an additional $20 dog fee plus tax since he is only in training. Of course they wait til our arrival cause they knew we were stuck. They knew he was in training the entire time. I never would have booked here at the new price, not worth it. And it's not about the money as much as it is feeling duped. Not a great night sleep when you have that on your mind. There are other nearby options that are actually pet friendly that I'd hope would not be as shady.

The girl at the front desk acted like she did not want to be there. Said my room number aloud. At 2:30ish AM the people next door came back to room very loud. I pounded on wall they got louder pounded on door they got louder finally called front desk to have them be quiet. Bed was very uncomfortable

Internet was terrible. Beds weren't comfortable. Pillows need replaced. Old heating system. Toilet ran whole time. Breakfast was the worst!! Not even a slice of bread. No decaf coffee

Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were the size of a 14” laptop. Sheets were worn out, clean but stained. Top blankets were thin. Top cover was a strange, dated material… the sleeping experience was gross.

The staff coming I'm my room when they wasn't supposed to

The lady at the desk stole from my room. And kicked me out in the middle of the night because she lied and said we smoked in the room. The room clearly had never been smoked in. She lied and entered my room when I was gone from the hotel and that's against the law. This hotel was the worst experience ever

I wasn't allowed to cancel my reservation when i didnt make it up to KS in time for my step dads passing so had to stay with my heart shattering into a million pieces. They put us next to the stairs and there was tons of people going in and our constantly. The pool wasn't operable. The towels, bedding, and pillows were trash. The breakfast was awful (yogurt was old). We didn't get more than a hour of sleep the entire time we were there. We kept asking for a partial refund and never got a message back after I called them out for not issuing one. We did check out a day early too but of course we can't get a penny back even though it was the most awful stay. We won't be going back and we won't be using booking.com for hotels ever again.

Facilities are showing age and wear. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. It was a cold night, and heat was needed. Our room heater was loud and very difficult to titrate to the right level. Mostly too cold, but with a little adjustment it became too hot. Our blanket was very thin -- need better in Kansas in the winter. And there were no free outlets in the room so charging our devices was difficult. WiFi was slow.

Reasonably clean. Staff pleasant but did not seem very experienced. Nice shower, with lot of hot water. Lots of parking.

Baited and switched on my reservation. Room advertised for $75. But additional taxes and fees were an extra $75 The "taxes and fees" were bogus because reservations at other hotels in topeka were not subject to $75 of "taxes and fees." Also, the reservation was nonrefundable. I will NEVER reserve or stay at Super 8 properties again.
