We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe cat box in the back room. I'm allergic to cats. The presence of a cat was noticeable. The arcade is coin-operated, and there is no bath tub.
The setup was nice, very high-tech. Included amazon voice control and hue lighting all around. Very nice bathroom and sauna. Bed was very comfortable.

United StatesI originally booked this for a lady friend and I for the intention of enjoying each other's company for the night. Back in December, my house burnt down, and my current living situation is not necessarily ideal if I want to have any sort of adult relations. So for the next year, while I am waiting for my house to be rebuilt, this is pretty much my only option, and I can unequivocally say it will never ever be at this property again. I thoroughly looked over all of the policy rules and guidelines, which, by the way, had conflicting details regarding the smoking policy that required clarification. Throughout the night I made a couple trips including going shopping for breakfast, getting some dinner, driving over to my mother's house to take my kids in before they went to bed, along with a couple other trips throughout the night. I tried to be as quiet as possible and try not to disturb the property owner or any of the surrounding neighbors each and every time I left and / or arrived at the property. I did notice two cameras, the first one at the private entrance, and then another camera at the front door. They each had spotlights along with motion detectors that captured each and every movement I made. That would not have been an issue under normal circumstances. However, I was not aware someone was monitoring the camera feeds throughout the night to keep an entirely of every movement made. Around 3:30 or so in the morning, a third friend came over for roughly an hour or so. I did not think this would be an issue as their stay was short-lived, and I drove them about 2 mi and dropped them off at their destination and immediately returned to the property. At 6:30 in the morning, I had to leave for the final time to go pick up my kids to make sure they made it off to school for the day. I explained to my lady friend that check out was not until 11:00 a.m. and I would be back sometime before then to pick her up.
This originally looked like it was going to be a very comfortable place to stay and it face value the place was very clean and had great amenities.

United StatesIF YOUR LOOKING FOR A NICE CLEAN QUITE PLACE TO GETAWAY, THIS IS NOT IT!!! First impression of host was horrible! Very unprofessional. Did not welcome us. The apartment was filthy. Not vacuumed, smelled like dog, utensils and drinking glasses had fingerprints all over them, the toilet and shower were clearly not cleaned, the table had fingerprints all over it. We were reluctant to sleep on the bedsheets. Upon leaving, we stripped the bed as one does when renting places and found two nasty blood stains on the mattress. Super gross! No privacy. It's the basement of a house in a residential area. The electrical wiring was a joke. The owner was very loud, stomping and yelling and dogs barking! SAVE YOUR MONEY and do your due diligence!

This made the entire experience very poor. I had no idea the owner would be there. It was very awkward. There was no coffee.
