Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere wasn't much to dislike. The hotel is an older building so there were some slanting floors and a bit of an abandoned feel (mid-week in winter) but it actually felt quite charming.
Breakfast offerings were what we expected, the usual choices that many hotels advertise as 'continental' - nothing exceptional but we could start our day with hot coffee (individual pods), some toast, pastries, boiled eggs, yogurt and fruit. We were there on a weekday morning so not many guests in an old, empty dining room, furnished with what looked like small patio tables. The hotel shows its' age but we were happy with the room - clean, with a comfortable bed and a renovated and spotless bathroom. For dinner there are a couple of good places for dinner within walking distance.

CanadaI was skiing in Killington, and it’s a fair distance from there. Not really a slight against the end, just plan accordingly. It would be awesome if they had electric vehicle chargers, or there were some nearby.
It’s a historic hotel with a manual elevator and the charm of a small town but big in. The staff were incredibly friendly. If you’re doing business or staying in the area, it is very well situated in the town.

I didn't have breakfast at the Inn. What I enjoyed was the history and character of the Inn, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff and the Inn's proximity to good restaurants and shops in Brandon.

An atmospheric hotel with lots of character. The room was large and gracious. Lovely historic decor in room. Comfortable bed.

United StatesThe shower had very close quarters and the water temperature was lukewarm at best. The breakfast was average. It might not have been peak season, but the inn felt a little desolate.
The inn is dog friendly and was very accommodating. The inn has an antique feel to it with victorian furniture, vintage fixtures, pink wallpaper and oriental rugs in both the rooms and in the sitting/breakfast common areas. There was a lit up bar that looked very inviting, but we did not partake. The inn uses self checkin to access the rooms with a passcode. There is a unique vintage elevator that we did not try, but was available with assistance of the attendant.

United StatesTV did not work as the outlet for the tv, radio, and lamp were connected to did not work. There wasn’t any heat in the bathroom, there weren’t any extra blankets and temperature dropped to 28 degrees at night. No one was on staff despite call to phone number provided. United StatesIt was what we were looking for. Some folks might prefer a modern elevator, work out room, hot breakfast.
The Inn was charming, it had retained authenticity, it was preserved, like a step back in time, Morning pastries and offerings were served on real dishes, not styrofoam. The Inn was conveniently located in a delightful New England village. A perfect location for Vermont's to enjoy Vermont's foliage!

United KingdomBreakfast very average, for us gluten-free people amounting to plain yoghurt and pieces of fruit. The room contained a gigantic bathroom with a vast jacuzzi bath and no shower except a handheld attachment to the bath. Each of these was irrelevant anyway as there seemed to be no hot water. In fact, there seemed to e little water at all and we could not get the bath to work properly. Vast public areas with very little attempt to furnish these to provide some character. Disappointing overall but okay for an overnight stay.
There has been an inn standing here since 1786 but the present building dates back only until 1890, so there is very little history. Spacious room with large and comfortable bed.

United StatesWe are senior citizens and it was a little hard managing steps. While the bathroom was gorgeous you had to step up to the toilet and tub. There was no “shower” just a hand held sprayer. We were on the 3rd floor and the elevator was old and iffy at best
The inn was beautiful. Old with grand decor. Lots of antiques. Staff was wonderful. Very helpful and informative. Location was perfect in the center of downtown. We loved walking downtown and visiting the outdoor market
