The location is unbeatable! The Pembroke has the best Brioche French toast! The robes are really comfortable! The bed didn’t make my back hurt- yes!!!

Nothing major at all, one point to know as information is the washroom has door for taking bath, toilet area. The wash basin is kept seperate outside door. So as family need to be mindful of this.

Excellent hotel and fantastic hospitality by the staff from reception and during Breakfast time too at the restaurant. Lisa was super nice and helpful always. Lisa helped, shared with DC recommendations and did for NYC too, that was so kind and lovely of Lisa and appreciate the efforts taken. Other Staff members were very courteous and warm too.Rooms are spacious. We had 3 of us as family staying in the room. Overall, had a good comfortable stay and loved the stay. Rooms were clean. Hospitality staff ensured daily cleaning very well done all through our 5 days that we stayed in the hotel. Appreciate their daily efforts to keep the rooms kept so clean. We are Vegetarians so mostly had food outside and Indian food so not much to comment on lunch, dinner as took outside.

One major flaw is their TV service provider. It’s not reliable and often blanks out randomly. Moreover, if it rains forget watching TV. which is something most people would want to do during that time. But regardless, I would gladly go back.

Check was easy and they brought my bags up within minutes. The dinner I ordered came hot but I wish I knew that onions were apart of the meal (I don’t like them). The rooms were very clean and I loved the welcome gift of fruit, macarons, and a personalized welcome note. Really started my weekend off right. I ended up with a room with a view of the park but some people decided to have a party that lasted well into the night. Armit was great tho! He was able to find me another suite away from the noise. Which was better than the first, which I loved also. The both rooms bathroom/shower is amazing and beautifully done. My first suite had heated floors in the bathroom. The second had a heated towel rack…both were a pleasant surprise.

Concierge was rarely available, in fact only saw one person who was called to come back, rest of the time nobody at the desk. Shower water leaks into the bathroom.

Location was excellent. Nice rooms. Buzzy atmosphere. Nice restaurant.

The shower drainage went into the toilet area. Engineering should look into this as it may create a slipping hazard.

A solid door on the bathroom

The bathroom is necessary to have a proper door to isolate from the bedroom, no privacy at all in certain moments. In the shower the glass door is useless or even problematic reducing the available space and make the water flow outside the shower. Better to be removed. The TV in the room was not working properly (only 2 channels available), even after asking to the receptionist to fix it no action was taken or at least communicated a trial was done. In fact no difference after the supposed intervention was found and the TV was still able to receive the same 2 channel. For a supposed 5 star hotel certain details make the difference.

The bed was extremely confortable.

Street noise, like sirens, cannot be helped...you are in the city....but it was very quiet late at night so I slept well.

Deluxe King Suite...you feel like you are in Raffles from the 1920s...very comfortable bed, excellent shower...and the staff, the staff makes the stay even better. The young man with the smart suit and long braids at the front desk was elegant and polite and just plain fun...Amari, who checked me out, glamorous and efficient...the breakfast attendant at the fast breakfast counter, efficient. When I was in my residency here in DC in the early 80s, this was a hotel we all wanted to stay in. I finally have...it is a renovated hotel and no expense was spared. Just beautiful and elegant and comfortable.

There were no ice machines on the floors you had to call the front desk. Also, the parking fees were very high.

We loved that it was clean and the design. The staff was excellent and very helpful.

Communication between agent and hotel.

Apparently the hotel had no booking for us but offered us a room which was not 'as booked,' so they quickly upgraded us to the correct room.. Staff were all happy and helpful during our stay.

I would have preferred some privacy/a door between the bathroom and the bedroom.

The entire staff were exceptional. From housekeeping to front staff - everyone was delightful.

Only complaint was rats in bushes around hotel entrance. Not sure if anything could be done about that. Its a big city.

Staff was consistently helpful and cheerful. All dealings with hotel staff showed them to be solicitous and eager to help. It was very noticeble that they were well trained and had good morale.
