Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesTh room was shockingly small not like the photo shown and the bed about killed us, as it was not comfortable. Not being able to just run into the bar or restaurant bar for a quick cocktail was ridiculous for what we paid as they could not accommodate last minute walk-ins. Neither on the way to dinner or after for a night cap.
The hotel, restaurant and bar were very pretty. The concierge and front desk lady were very sweet and helpful. was shockingly small not like the photo shown.

United StatesThought the bed needed to be updated. Didn't provide good support on side by table. Think it's been overused. Otherwise, it was fine.
Enjoyed my whole stay.

SwitzerlandSuite perfect, the other room 1906? is really to small. Please next time if a family took a suite then please select a better room for the other half of the family. Better for inner family peace :)
Top Address in terms of welcome culture, staff like Concierge Richard, Paula from :) and all the others. New hotel with dignified style. Very clean and the restaurant is high class. The suite was really well furnished and equipped with modern components.

United StatesCons: I'm not sure if this was an issue with our room per se, or with all rooms in general, but the shower's water pressure was not great.
Pros: I lived 11 years in NYC and have stayed in several hotels since I moved out--the service in this hotel (front desk--special shoutout to Paola,--room service, waiters, bartenders, housekeeping) is top notch and probably its most memorable asset. I had asked for an early check-in (due to work-related purposes) prior to making my booking and they gave me my room at 8am, which is rarely the case anywhere. The location is great and the décor is stunning. The restaurants and bars are excellent. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. You can control the lighting, TV, and room temperature from an iPad.

SwitzerlandNot really the hotels fault: We booked the smallest room category, which we should have not done considering we had quite a lot of luggage (our fault). Upon giving this feedback during check out they said we should have told them and they would have checked on other rooms / upgrades if available. Again, very good service.
Exceptional facility, great interior design which makes all rooms feel warm and welcoming. However, the most amazing part was the staff, which definitely exceeds expectations that you have even for a good 5 star hotel. Really extraordinary! Restaurant and bar are amazing, and for as long as the inhouse gym is not fully functional (there are a few machines already available), they offer complimentary subscriptions for fitness classes (soulcycle, barrys, etc.). Definitely one of the best 5 star city hotels we have stayed in.

United StatesEverything was perfect at the hotel, there was nothing that I would have changed. I wish I would have had more time to explore!
The service and luxury offered were unparalleled. My time at The Fifth Avenue Hotel was truly remarkable, I absolutely adore it! It was an extraordinary experience that swept me away to another realm—I almost forgot I was in the heart of New York City! The interior alone is enough to make this stay, however, it was the generous service and personalized attention that made this hotel truly one of a kind.

United StatesI paid $8,999.28 on Oct 14, 2024 to reserve a room for 10 days, from 23 Dec 2024 through 02 Jan 2025. After all was said and done, I was happy with the reservation through Booking.com. My fiancée, with her son, arrived on 23 Dec 2024. The hotel then charged my debit card for $815.50 again for each night which was broken down as 715.00 a day with an additional 100.00 per night, for a room upgrade. They downgraded us from a King room to a room with two twins. Then, on 26 Dec 2024, they raised the room rate to 805.00 with the upgrade fee per night of 100.00, for the remainder of the trip through 02 Jan 2025.
