Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

DenmarkSome rooms may be a bit noisy since doors are thin and some of the rooms have direct access to the breakfast room.
Quaint, friendly Bed & Breakfast run by a team that cares and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast is nice. Patio and pool a bonus.

United StatesThe only downside is the proximity to other guests at times. If people were in the pool, we could hear them. If they were in the early area, we could hear them. Wasn't a huge problem, but wanted to mention it.
The hosts were so helpful! And the breakfasts were outstanding. Loved all the little touches like coffee and fresh water or wine in the lobby. We were within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and wine :)

Excellent breakfast - really superb. They place was very cozy, and we enjoyed sipping wine in the great room and speaking with other guests. They have a large hot tub in the back which was a welcome surprise. Wine tasting at associated vineyards was complimentary!

United StatesThe Grape Leaf Inn was a wonderful choice for Healdsburg. It is a lovely inn within walking distance of the beautiful little square with its unique shops and great restaurants. The staff was very helpful arranging an after hours check in with no muss and no fuss. They also alerted us upon booking that on the two nights we would be there, many of the restaurants around the town are closed. Because we knew ahead, we were able to get reservations right away and were not scrambling at the last minute. In addition, they had called and made reservations for the wine tastings we had chosen and the times that worked for us. Thanks Grape Leaf staff! There is a small parking lot behind the inn, but street parking was also available with no concerns. Great breakfasts. (We would stay there again, but would choose a larger room next time.)

United StatesThe eaves in the room(s) are a problem for a guy over 6 ft. I was in Zinfandel. I need to get a different room when we return. Also, the bathroom door in Zinfandel does not close; it needs a new fitting, and the available chest of drawers is falling apart.
Bountiful breakfast. Some salt should be provided on the tables.

United StatesMy room was situated near the dining area, so it was a bit hard to sleep in, and my dog was a bit rattled by the noise in the morning. Otherwise, the place was so quiet. I was surprised to see all the guests eating breakfast because I didn't see/hear a single person the night before. I thought the place was empty until I saw everyone at breakfast.
Location was super convenient, close to downtown, but in the cutest quiet neighborhood. The hosts were helpful when I was looking for a place to eat-came up with a list of 3 solid places with the type of food I was hoping for. Also, lovely breakfast on the deck was a bonus-the flowers in bloom were so lovely! I definitely would stay again!

United StatesWas transferred to a nearby "sister" property because Grape Leaf was experiencing water issues. The Camellia Inn was a B&B akin to Fawlty Towers (if you know, you know). Sub standard in every way and lacking hospitality and amenities. The only good thing about it was free off-street parking and it is located 2 blocks walking distance to the main square in Healdsburg.
I did not stay at Grape Leaf, as the owner transferred me to a sister property, due to water issues at Grape Leaf Inn. My review is based on my experience at Camellia Inn. A sub-par property, for sure. I would still like to stay at Grape Leaf.

United StatesRoom could use a facelift and toiletry items were not appealing at all. Especially the hair in the cotton balls. We did not see the innkeeper till the day we checked out. You were on your own with luggage. Pool closed even though it was warm. For the price we paid I was very disappointed. The next night we stayed in Yountville at a Four Sisters property and I wish that is what I had booked for Healdsburg.
The breakfast were excellent. The food preparation staff was friendly and very accommodating. Great location

United StatesWe found it to be overpriced for the type of facilities and services they offer. The furniture in the room wasn't that great, and it smelled like "old." The room only had one armchair, so one of us had to sit on the bed. Breakfast was very basic, nothing special. We had high expectations about this place, but unfortunately it didn't meet them.
The location and the fact that it is located in Healdsburg downtown, so you don't need to drive to go shopping, dining ...it's very convenient in that regard. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless clean. It had a nice patio and swimming pool, which we didn't get to use because it wasn't hot enough.

United StatesOur room opened up right into the dining room, and the charm of the older construction also means that sound travels quite easily so the subjective hours of the breakfast crowd was kind of our alarm bell.
Great location, we could walk to downtown and still be just far enough away that we weren't in the middle of it all. Breakfast in the morning was very hearty.
